La Bella Chic Salon & Blow-Dry Bar in Chesapeake, VA

I've been looking for a salon for quite a while and have finally found a salon that actually listens to what I want. Everyone is very professional and knowledgeable.

Service was disgustingly poor. Stylist didn't know how to wash and comb curly hair. When I let him know we were done, after he ripped my daughter's hair out for a while and left her in TEARS, the owner began to berate me in front of everyone and then told me I was rude because I didn't take her to the side. She approached me first and was YELLING at me in front of everyone at the salon. Such a shame because we were pretty excited about going to this salon. So unprofessional and their lack of knowledge about curly hair is disturbing even though the owner said she has "curly" hair. Ruined my daughter's birthday and she is so traumatized that she still talks about it.

If you need a quick trim and blow out go see TJ! He brought my hair back to life in an hour and it feels healthier already.

I made an appointment for Friday at 12:15 I called at 10:40 when two of my people could not make it in as they were sick. I have waited 2 weeks for the appointment and was trying to get the next appointment. The policy is to pay half for the salon professionals time. I really did not want to pay half I wanted to get the next available appointment. I was talking to a lovely girl who was trying to figure it all out. The stylist got on the phone, incredibly aggressive and stated she would be charging half the service. I have a confirmation that it was a haircut and consultation on a process, ( I was not sure what I wanted done). They charged $90.00 for no service provided. A fee I get, half the haircut I get, but half of an undetermined service is ridiculous. I looked up the salon based on reviews so here is mine. Awful experience with what would have been my stylist. I have never been there I would have been fine being put with someone else.

Adorable little salon. Got great service, easy scheduling, affordable (which is hard to find now a days for hair coloring). I really wish I would have found this place years ago instead of right before I move away from the area! Very clean and very organized! Highly recommend!
