My family member and I had a Groupon for manicures. The manicure didn't go all the way to my cuticle, so it looked grown out. My family member who got dip had little white dots on her polish that were not supposed to be there. Kris is the only one doing nails, so if you come with someone, you'll have to wait an extra hour because there isn't another manicurist to do them simultaneously. No temperature checks. Kris did not wear her mask over her nose. She was teaching a Zoom class on her laptop at the same time, and would periodically pull her mask down to her chin to talk to her students while we were sitting right there in front of her. Sterilization was not enforced and she just dipped the nail clipper that she used on my family member into the sterile, then used it on me-- no autoclave or anything. Then the brush she had my family member scrub her hands with was just put back into the drawer...I wonder how many other people used it before her. The television was on the news the whole time and it was pretty loud, and some of the news was unpleasant stuff that I'd rather not hear about while I'm trying to relax. Kris is nice, but honestly just save your money and go somewhere else because even the cheap Groupon price isn't worth it.
My mom & I purchased a Groupon for Dip manicure. We both had a wonderful experience. Kris explained the dip process at each stage. She worked very gently and is extremely talented. She has a very steady hand and pays attention to detail. I would highly recommend for others to try her. The salon is cute & clean & also has hair & make-up services. We will definitely be back. I was super leery about going to this place because it didn't have a yelp page, but Groupon seemed to like it so I took the plunge. Kris is super nice. Her salon is inside of the hair extension place (Limelight), previously she was across the street in her own suite. It isn't frilly and there aren't tubs for your feet and massaging chairs. But if you want a nice, long lasting manicure this is the place to go. Overall, I am a fan.
