Kool Nails in Southfield, MI

They never open on time and the personalities/attitude is hit or miss. I don't like that regular polish isn't offered for little girls.

The first time I went in for service, I was the only customer. The guys spoke over my head in their language. When I asked for the same tech because I liked how he did it last, the guy at the first table said it was him. In 2020, everyone was wearing masks so I couldn't tell and spontaneously asked, "Are you sure, I can't tell." He became mean and said, " You don't trust me, get out." Him and another tech were sitting there making me feel very threatened. I left feeling horribly violated. I gave them a try again, this time, a new (learning) tech did my nails and two nails broke because he applied thin gel days after getting them done. I waited until it was time for a fill in because I know how temperamental they are. Same trainee applying thin gel again. I simply asked for two layers of overlay, as my nails ate baby soft and thin. The tried to tell me it's fine with one and when I pressed the issue (because I don't want to keep wasting time for repairs. I rent homes so I repair, paint, garden, etc.), after speaking in their language again he slid his chair back and said, "I can't do your nail, no." I stood up and walk out feeling mistreated again. On the wall, there is one poster of a black lady with a baby that says, "Get vaccinated and stop the spread of disease." I was highly offended because basically they're saying black people spread diseases. I will report them further until they leave my city, we don't need or want you here. Plez, do not patronize these fools.

Went in for a pedicure w shellac and gel overlay ! I was charged 172.00 !!! The so called deluxe pedicure was horribly done and rushed ! The cuticles were not remove appropriately it took her literally 2 minutes to so call exfoliate my feet .. the pedicure w shellac was 110.00 Please make sure you have the nail tech itemize what your being charged .. I was totally over charged !! #finding another salon ASAP!!!!!!!

This is a long-standing name in Southfield but is under new ownership. This is my final visit. They cut me, put a bandaid on it while doing the leg and foot massage, then it came off in the water. Next, they sprayed alcohol on my feet. Really??? Prices are too high to have a person sit and carry on a conversation in another language while screwing up my feet. I have never been treated so poorly in a service atmosphere. I will not be back.

Worst manicure I've ever gotten. Extremely messy job and chunky... I would not recommend coming
