Kolorz Nail & Hair Studio in Shaker Heights, OH

I went to kolors because I live in Shaker and wanted to try them out.Called made an appointment she said it was two people in front me at the time of me calling. I get to my appointment early no one greets me I walk to the only nail tech in a salon with five nail stations and tell her I have an appointment with her. She has someone in the chair so I sit in the waiting area about 15mins into my appointment time she tells me to have a seat at her station then she goes over to finish a pedi. Now 30mins into appointment she starts my nails. I get a basic overlay and its hair, dirt under the whole set. Acrylic is not flat. Worst service I ever received! I have to get my nails all done over. This place is so unprofessional! Don't waste your time or money!

Dont let Bri do your nails. Look at the pics. Smh. This is a fresh Full Set, NOT a (botched) fill-in. It looks like a bad fill in because she purposely incorrectly positioned the tips on halfway down my nail, Instead of lining it up at the tip where it should go. She couldn't understand my issue with her placement of the tips so we called another nail tech over & she actually agreed with Bri & said the nail tips would pop off if they were glued on up higher & lined up correctly like every other nail tech does it. I've NEVER had an acrylic covered tip just pop off like a press on nail. That was the most ridiculous bs I've ever heard. Idk if she was serious & that's how they all do it or if she was just being loyal to her friend but I was flabbergasted by her defense of her co-workers work. The moment she started the acrylic I knew I was in trouble. Normally nail techs start at the cuticle & blend the acrylic up toward the tip but she started in the middle right where she placed the tip. After covering the whole fake tip, She'd blow it dry & THEN fill in the space between the tip & cuticle, Blow on it again & then put a few more layers of acrylic on top trying to level out lumps & whatnot. Ive Never seen anything like that in my life. I kept telling her stop layering on so much acrylic cuz i knew she didn't have the superior shaping skills necessary to level it out & make it look natural. She claimed the nails would break if the acrylic isn't caked on. Smh. More bs. Bri honestly does nails the way I did as a teen just learning. I'd pile on acrylic incorrectly & lumpy & ruin the shape of the nail, the try to file it down and when all failed, i covered my bothched work with dark nail polish. Never could rock natural or French manicures because my work was only presentable if covered with nail polish. Polish has been saving Ms Bri for 6 years. She told me I must be too used to the Asians but Clearly Ms Bri is too use to doing ghetto fab nails for hood chicks, which require color polish, designs baby daddies initials & rhinestones..... & all that cover up is exactly how she got away with incorrectly positioning tips for 6 years. First time someone asks for something natural or a French manicure, she can't do it without 2 tip lines showing through. Every time I commented on her techniques she would get defensive & keep saying "I'm not done yet, just wait til it's done, trust me". Her ego refused to listen. I don't need to wait til you're done to see that you don't know what you're doing. She was saying it as if the positioning of the glued tips would change by the time she was done. Ugghh!!! Her fn attitude & ego is preventing her from improving & progressing. She probably still thinks she did an amazing job and that this is how my nails are suppose to look. I'll have to wait a month for my nails to grow & reposition the tips, or pay the Asians to soak it off & redo but they're gonna laugh at me & make a scene in the shop if I show them this.. I would never step foot into that place again. Can't touch my nails or hair. They were gas lighting a custoner who's hair they burnt/damaged. She was having a melt down & the stylist was just making stuff up, saying anything. "No it's not damaged from me, it was broken and brittle already but I didn't cut it ALL off cuz I'm trying to let it grow out & catch up with the other side that's longer" BS! Naw, the woman got a cut & style & now her ends are brittle & damaged, which means you burnt it after cutting it. Its obvious even to me from across the room. The lies & bs was too much. They protect their egos first. So much for doing business with my people.

Unbelievable... ladies, if you're new in Shaker, avoid this salon like the Plague!! I purchased a Groupon for my daughter and I to try out this salon, since we are new in the area. When the woman I was speaking with found out I had a Groupon to redeem, she suddenly had no appointments available and actually said, "Woman, I have another call," and hung up on me! Needless to say, I've filed a complaint with Groupon and will NEVER patronize this business!!

My mom and I decided to do a mother-daughter mani and pedi so we came here to Kolorz for the special they had for Mother's day. We had such a GREAT experience! We were serviced by Keisha the owner and I LOVED her professionalism. She was very welcoming and courteous with me and my mom. She was fast and very thorough as to what services we will get, and what she was doing and about to do. This shop is a little far from my house BUT the shop is not far from my job so I definitely will be returning! Thanks Keisha for starting my Mother's day weekend right with a cute mani and pedi with my mommy!
