King Street Salon: Carolyn Vento Master Hair Colorist and Keratin Specialist. in Chappaqua, NY

Just had the Brazilian blowout done here with Rosemary. My hair feels and looks amazing! I've had keratin treatments many times before and at different places, and this was the best treatment I've had! I mean these pictures speak for itself! The salon was inviting and Rosemary was very friendly and professional. Also you don't have to worry about finding parking since they have a parking lot right in the back of the salon. 10/10 highly recommend!

When I called the King Street Salon to make an appointment I spoke with a woman whose name I unfortunately forgot. I told her that I prefer to pay by credit card. She told me that most of the stylists are not local and only take cash or check. But I could get my hair colored by Carolyn who was local and accepts credit cards. However, Carolyn doesn't cut hair but another woman, Rose, is local and would accept my credit card. I'd have to come on two separate days. The day of my first appointment with Rose, I received a VM from the salon confirming my appointment and reminding me to bring cash or check. I immediately called the salon back. Rose told me that she doesn't accept credit cards and would I like to cancel. I said "yes." Then Carolyn got on the phone and told me it was unprecedented to be canceling the day of the appointment. I said that I did not want to cancel but that I just wanted to pay by credit card and that I was told Rose accepts payment by credit card. Instead of saying there must have been a misunderstanding, Carolyn told me I was not welcome at the salon and cancelled my appointment with her the following week even after confirming that she accepts credit cards. It's my prerogative to choose to pay by credit card and I did everything necessary to accomplish that. To be told I'm not welcomed in the salon after the salon caused the problem is no way to treat anyone.

Look no further! I'm probably the most critical person when it comes to getting my hair done (growing up in my mother's salon back home will do that). I just moved to Chappaqua and was in search of a colorist. I didn't care if this person worked out of a paper bag, I just wanted someone to know their stuff! I found Carolyn Filancia-Vento from King Street and it was a match made in heaven. She dyed my hair and it came out perfect. Carolyn has a ton of experience, is so sweet and knows hair color like she invented it. The salon is intimate and a bit shabby chic (which I love, not a fan of bs shi-shi). It's conveniently located downtown and parking isn't a problem.
