I have been having my hair done by Danny at King David for 25 years. He can always see me with a few days notice. Love King David!
This is a great place to get your haircut. I have gone several times, and it is definitely the best place in Greenville. It is nice to get away from the corporate haircut chains.
Been going here for about 10 years. Barber is very nice, haircuts are consistently great. He's also very good about scheduling. I can't count the number of times he's stayed late, or worked around things to fit me in.
I hate to write this review because the barber was very polite but the haircut was really unacceptable. I asked for a bald fade and didn't even get a 1 on the sides, no straight razor on the neck, and overall a very bad first impression. They charge $15 and I paid $20. You get what you pay for but with a name like king David and not knowing the price in advance you'd think they'd do a better job than sports clips- they don't! The stylist Danny cut a high side burn on one side and didn't bother doing anything with the other side! I had to give myself a haircut when I got home and with a 1mm ( not even a bald fade or anything ) so much hair came off my side burns! I went in there and he immediately commented "you must like it short on the sides" and I say yes I like a *bald* *skin* fade....he didn't even get it down to 1mm!! Honestly there was very little to do on the top of my hair he used scissors for less than a minute and then couldn't even get it remotely short on the side. Overall impression is that Danny is a lackadaisical barber who admittedly will politely talk your ear off but apparently he won't pay attention while doing his job. Doesn't even put a mirror up or turn you around to see the neckline. Very disappointed I wasted 20 dollars and will have to get a proper fade within a day or two because it just looks like I combed my hair just barely. Now I'm sure you're wondering why I didn't mention this to him directly; I DID i told Danny exactly what I wanted and he never once asked if it looked good or if I was happy. To sum it up my hair looks like my sister played with it!
