I went to Kimberly Trenda at Simplicity Salon for hair extensions in March. Kimberly recommended the Babe flat tip extensions and told me I would need seven packs. While looking at the extension samples, Kimberly said that she would have to dye my hair first and then choose the extension that matched the best. She failed at matching the color to the extension. The day after the extensions were installed, there was some pulling and tension. Kimberly told me this was normal. After a week, it was just painful. I noticed that my scalp was red and blistered. So, I reached out to another local Babe-certified stylist for a consultation. She told me that the extensions were painful because they had been installed incorrectly. She was also confused as to why the color did not match. I also sent pictures to Babe, and they said, based on the pictures, that the extensions were not installed the Babe way.
To get these issues corrected, I had to pay to have the extensions removed, then pay to have my hair dyed the correct color, and then pay to have the extensions reinstalled. The new install used half the amount of extensions, the color matched perfectly, and there was no pain. I reached out to Kimberly to let her know, but I never received a call back. After not hearing anything for a month, I decided to dispute the charge on my credit card.
On top of all these issues, Kimberly Trenda charged me a 5% service fee to use my credit card. This is illegal as the limit is 4%.
I wasn't planning to leave Kimberly negative reviews and wanted to put this awful experience behind me. Unfortunately, when Kimberly learned of the dispute, she decided to put me dox me in a Facebook group. She created a post informing other stylists that I disputed the charge. She added my married last name and my previous last name. She even went as far as to dig up old photos of me and posted them in the thread. She is completely unprofessional, and I highly suggest not using her services. Who knows what she will do if you are unhappy with a service?
I've been going to Kimber for 4 years! She is so awesome and always does EXACTLY what I want!! I highly recommend her for any beauty needs!
