I have been going to Kathy since I was 14 years old and had my nails done for the first time. Everyone is so friendly and the prices are reasonable. I always leave happy! I recently moved about 30 min away from the shop and gave one closer to home a shot since I was limited on time. The nails were beautiful but they were done pretty far out so they immediately looked as if they needed filled , i got over it but then 4 days later 2 nails came off and others started lifting! It was a huge waste and id rather drive for the quality !!!!

I had never been here before but my mom had and she wanted to get her nails done. I came to help her in and she treated me to a manicure. They took my mom right away I had to wait about 10 minutes, which was fine. However, when they started asking about what I wanted done they told me the price and asked me to pay before I got the service done. The lady next to me didn't do that and they didn't ask my mother that... so that was the first thing that put me off. During the manicure the tech kept using her own nails to clean up around mine, which I understand a lot of people do but this seemed excessive and it was painful at times. She would use her own nail and go directly under mine which would hurt. Each time I pulled away she stopped but then would do the same thing for the next coat. From the pictures you can see the the manicure wasn't particularly neat and I probably could have accomplished the same look at home. Lastly, there was a lady that came in and said she called and they said she could come in. A man came in after wanting a manicure. I was done before the other people in the salon and my tech took the guy before the lady. She started to make a scene and asked how long it would take and they ignored her for 5 minutes. She finally got an answer of 15 minutes and then she went to the McDonald's across the street. The way she handled it probably wasn't the best but I don't think they should have skipped her. Overall not a great experience. Will not be coming here again.

I've been going here for 2 years now and just recently started to become disappointed with the place. It seems like they are getting lazier in there, last few times my nails have been too flat...which I like the curve they are suppose to have, too thin, like they are being cheap about the acrylic and they need more people to work in there, that's why I try to go on a Monday evening or sometime during the week instead of waiting till the wknd cuz you'll be waiting for like 45 min if the place has a lot of ppl, cuz usually I only see like 3 to 4 ppl that work there. So I did start doing my own nails in between and I actually like how mine are shaped better then how these ppl do it....so I'll go there when I absolutely have to, plus it's right up the street so......but yea all in all....disappointed with kenmae as of right now......hopefully things will change.
