First off the woman I had was rude and didn't look like she wanted to be there at all I was being nice to her and told her what I wanted. She starts doing my nails and shaping them and I told her does this one doesn't look straight... she just says "I fix later" I was like oh okay then later comes along she doesn't fix it!! I told her she said it looks fine! At the end of my service I just wanted to go home and I ask her how much and she says $60!!! I paid $60 for simple full set with gel polish. Never again will I go here for mediocre skills and terrible service.

Yesterday, a tall young man with glasses who was working on a young woman's pedicure commented about the size of her thighs. You are predominantly in a women's service industry and think it's acceptable to EVER make a weight comment? You need to find her receipt, call her and reimburse her fee. You should remember the young lady, she did not tip after that unacceptable comment. It's on social media and word is spreading outside of social media as well.

I went to this place several times because I could get there by bicycle. I wanted to support a local neighborhood business. The second time I went I saw a young woman (not an employee) come in and hug a customer, then hand her a small foil packet in exchange for a wad of money. This was an illegal exchange. I told the owners in private what I had seen. I felt it was their business to deal with it. Out of faith I went a third time for a pedicure, which was quite good. During that visit a young female customer (whose young son and husband waited for her), disappeared into the back for a full twenty minutes. The nail tech kept going back, obviously concerned about her. Then the customer reappeared looking awfully relaxed and slow moving. Did she shut herself back in the bathroom, doing god knows what? Finally, I went a fourth time because I was short on time and figured I could get in and out. My other nail shop had closed without warning. I asked for dipping powder nails (manicure), and they gave me thick awful hurtful acrylic nails. I'd never had either kind before, so I just didn't any better. The male nail tech kept saying "I'm not hurting you," when he was. He ground my nail beds almost down to nothing and put on acrylic nails so thick I couldn't pick coins or other small objects up. It's taken me two months and a new nail person to get the nails looking OK again. My nail beds are thin and awful looking. After my last manicure at KC's I had to put Aspercreme on my nails for two nights, they hurt so badly. Should I make an official complaint?

So, I came in this afternoon for a shellac manicure. I didn't have an appointment and I didn't have to wait too long which was nice. I felt like the service was super routine. They didn't ask how I'd like my nails shaped so when with square. Also my original manicurist was working double duty so I got pawned off on someone else to do the polish. Not a huge deal but didn't make me feel like a priority. My biggest complaint was this: I am a student and they did not honor the student discount. I am an older grad student (but a student none the less) and my ID for whatever reason the school dictated (probably because grad programs differ in time and if I were a PhD student I'd need my ID to be valid longer) doesn't have an expiration date. For this reason ALONE I was denied a student discount. Lame. Super lame. Won't be back, sorry.

This place is by far the worst experience I had at a nail salon. The service was nice at first, until I finally sat down . I asked for a certain look on my nails and he basically did his own thing which I couldn't notice till he was done placing them. He was VERY rough with my hands that I started bleeding like 3 times and he tried to play it off. On TOP of that, he kept getting up every 5 secs to talk to customers or do unnecessary things . He took about 2 hours on my nails which I only got a solid color, my nails are very mismatched and he charged me 50 which I think these nails he did should be 10 for how horrible they are. I'm pretty sure if I would've got someone else they would've came out decent but I'm not too sure since I think he was the new owner. I honestly don't recommend anybody going there.
