K Nails in Bridgewater Township, NJ

I actually had to stop going to this salon. Despite how nice they were. my nails were ALWAYS breaking. No matter who did them and for what they are charging I need my nails to last a little longer.

Kim is just THE BEST. I'm very picky about the cuticles. I always want them to look nice. I've been to so many places that does the extensions but keep it very far from the cuticles which I hate it. When I got at K nails, I told Kim exactly what is my frustration and what I was expecting to be done. She did THE JOB! I mean, the best JOB! I did the acrylic and she made them look so real.

This is my second time coming to K nails after discontinuing my 10 year relationship with my previous salon/nail tech, and I think I've found my new nail home! I am very particular about my nail shape and usually get simple designs with a little razzle dazzle here and there and K Nails delivered! I showed my design inspiration both times and it was executed to perfection. They have a wide array of nail colors (a whole wall full) and well as chrome, matte, and dip powder options. The salon is clean, and I've noticed the nail techs really focus on the client in front of them without talking over them to each other. From what I can see, all the nail techs do good work, so you'll be good with anyone here.

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I had the most awful experience EVER! The communication here is TERRIBLE! I called and spoke to who I believe was Anna, I asked her if they offered dip polish or hard gel as one of their services. She told me yes, I then told her my nails are natural and that I want to soak the dip polish off of my real nails. She said ok no problem, when can you come? So I set an appointment time up and went. When I arrived at the salon, I checked in at the desk give my name and that I was here for my appointment. Which was soak off the current dip polish , trim my nails down and a new set of gel polish on top of my natural nails. Once I was seated I then AGAIN reiterated that to Linda the nail tech word for word. I knew something wasn't right when Linda did not soak off the dip polish I had on, that's normally routine at previous nail salons I've gone too. Verses cutting my nails down first and then prying my nails off with a nail instrument. She then cut my pinky nail down even shorter than grabbed the tip box and says "this is what I have to do if you want tips" I said I don't want tips! And I didn't ask for them! I then said why would I cut down my real nails to get tips? Linda then said you need to communicate with me, I told her I did tell you exactly what I wanted. I even showed you these were my real nails and you said ok. Linda then stated the owner said full set, I told Linda it doesn't matter what the owner said when I communicated with you when I said down. However Linda came up with an agreement on how to proceed to do my nails. She decided to do hard gel onlay with extensions so that I can have some length. I agreed picked out a color and anticipated to see how they looked when she was done. They were ok but I have no intentions on being back. I also felt like my service should've been discounted due to my nail tech not listening to how I wanted my nails done. I feel like that's the least they can do, especially when no one bothered to apologize for what happened.

The space is clean and service is good! Anna is not only an amazing nail tech but also a really kind and genuine person!!
