K&Co Hairdressing in Minneapolis, MN

K+Co is the new stylist my wife and I have been using since the pandemic and we are very happy with the service we have received. Our previous stylist took early retirement due to the pandemic. We looked around and found K+Co in our neighborhood. We checked out the reviews on Yelp which were excellent. We also did not want a large salon as we are limiting our contacts. K+Co is a small, two stylist shop and they try to schedule appointments so that both stylists and their clients are not there at the same time. They don't always succeed at this but they try. I use Katie who does men's hair and my wife uses Kelly who does women's hair. We have both been very pleased with the quality of service we have received. We have also appreciated the attention they have given to preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus by careful masking, sanitation and scheduling. We highly recommend K+Co.

Kelly and K&Co. is the type of establishment that is a hidden gem. The entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. She has been able to achieve a color for my hair that I have always tried to get with other hair salons but always came up short. She is a wonderful, skilled, hair artist. Her salon experience is extremely relaxing. When you are her client, the focus is only on you, for the duration. There is no getting highlights and then having to go sit somewhere while your stylist attends to others. Talking with her is also a warm experience. She is not forceful or aggressive with conversation. She takes cues from her client, but I found our conversations thoroughly enjoyable. I have been to her a few times and have decided that there is no reason to ever go back to the place that I had been using for years. She did my daughter's hair as well and I must say, she knocked it out of the park. Kelly, deserves 5 stars and then some, in my opinion.

Kelly is a rare find in the hairdressing world. She readily gives amazing recommendations for style and cut plus actually shows you how to style your hair in several different ways. She's personable, smart and empathetic which makes the chatting experience enjoyable too. Her salon is cute and stylish. Another plus is that the products she uses are pleasantly scented without being strong. I'm so happy I found her on Yelp and will be returning as a regular client!

If you're looking for someone who really listens to what you want and can actually understand the nuances of what you're asking for... Kelly's your girl. She is SUPER knowledgeable about all different hair types, the best and latest techniques and all the chemistry behind hair color. So impressed with her new salon and overall experience. I'm sold. No need to go anywhere else.

I got my haircut on a Sunday, which I'm appreciate the shop was even open on a Sunday afternoon. First of all, I love the decoration here! The shop decoration has a lot of enjoyable details while everything stay in a Minimal style. The Service I got, is one of the best I got around the twin cities, I used to get my hair cut at uptown Minneapolis, but those real high end shops provide no better service I got from here. I have choices of beverage when I walking in. And the shampooing process is great! The most satisfying part is the haircut. Im a guy, And I will say that I finally find a stylist who can understand what I want, and can tell me confidently: "well, I think you will look great in this style." Instead of Barbers from uptown who always, almost must ask me: "what do I want?" And plus most of the barbers/stylists have no idea how to deal with my dark, firm hairs. However, I got great haircut here. The price is alright. A little up there, however, in my opinion, it's really worth the service I got at here. And I'll said compare to the salon/ barber shop at uptown MPLS, all cost the same, but I prefer this one, for sure will come back! And thank you so much!
