Maria's amazing- she's relaxed, funny, and she has fun doing her job. You can tell that she genuinely enjoys cutting and styling hair for each unique customer. She even gave me soft curls after my haircut so that I could see my layers and it looked sooo pretty. I like to grow my hair very long, but I think now I'll try to upkeep my short/medium length hairstyle and have fun with it! Thanks for the awesome change, I love it! If I wasn't moving back to NY I'd go back to Maria and experiment with more styles/coloring FOR SURE. Did I mention it was only $35?

Salon is in nice location and is fine as far as decor. Stylist was nice, we discussed my needs and made a plan. Brown with just a little red. I'm all grey so when doing my roots I know to never go with straight red, has to be brown! Or else comes out pink on white/grey roots! We talked about this. She mixed my color then applied it. At the same time she is processing 2 other people. One for color and one for cut, while another guy waits to be seen (I had an appt). When she rinsed me, to my horror, my roots are hot pinkish red. Not good. She tried to convince me it was fine. Absolutely not. We applied a toner to brown it out. It burned my scalp! I said it was burning badly to which she replied "you must be sensitive and its dry scalp". It was left on for 6 minutes and then it had to come off! Now my hair is close to black. Black Cherry is what comes to mind. I paid full price for what should have been a root touch-up but ended up an all over color that was not of my choosing. Not real happy.

I have been getting my hair cut with Maria. She does a good job cutting hair but the wait is very long (over an hour) even with an appointment. Once I had an early morning appointment and she never showed up, I waited for an hour outside in front. This salon has no prices listed so you will get charged different prices. That is the reason I am giving only one star. I will have to find another salon due to the lack of consideration for my time and for being charged different prices.

Came to my 4pm appt, the lady washed my hair as she sat me in the chair, her friend walked in and she left me with my wet hair for about 20 min till she seen I was bothered. I came to get a new hair style but I was so irritated I just got my tips cut. It was a horrible experience, now I just hope I don't get sick since I left with my back all wet for sitting there for so long.

After returning a couple more times I find it necessary to change my review. When you have an appointment, you take care of that customer on time. You don't make them wait an hour because you're messing around doing another stylist's hair. If you do not value your customers, they won't value you. They do good work, but respect for your customer's time is extremely important. I don't think I will be returning. I need a reliable appointment.
