Joyce Tips Nail & Spa in Patchogue, NY

*BEWARE*I just had the most mortifying experience I've ever had at at a service location! After 4 years of coming to this location and her East Islip location prior, plus NUMEROUS client recommendations; I will NEVER be back! Long story short- I'm in the wrong for not having an alternate form of payment other than Apple Pay, Venmo & credit card- but it wouldn't swipe, they don't take Apple Pay. I offered to leave her my NYS Drivers License & "unswippable" card explaining "I'll run to bank (where I can use Apple Pay for cash)". She wouldn't take it, began yelling "you can't leave" which I DO understand but I'm offering you my id & card! I had no other options so I said she could drive w me? She followed me to my car yelling and recording (so embarrassing) ‍then went to grab my ID from my hand, now you want it? Sad to say, I finally yelled back "Do NOT touch me and stop yelling!" Or something to that effect Needless to say, I came straight back and found the POLICE THERE! Luckily customers witnessed it all, the police were LOVELY-huge shout out to the 4th precinct... but holy embarrassing! Ps- I had a BASIC mani & pedi... nothing special. I guess customer loyalty isn't an actual thing anymore *disclaimer it is a Sunday & the owner wasn't here. I'd HOPE if she was it would have been different. Yet, I'll never ever come back!

They did a decent job on the nails but BUTCHERED my cuticles, the pictures show the dried blood around each nail. The staff was rude and up charged me. for a barely decent looking design on my nails that looks more like a scissors then cute bows. about 5 different people worked on my hands that day and all demanded a tips for their not so great job.I got acrylic nails by them nails done on 12/17/2023.

There is a reason why this salon only gets two star rating. I will give them a negative star. If I could, I came in only because my nail salon was so busy and I didn't have an appointment this place is close to my house. The place was empty and the woman was rude , curt unaccommodating and all I asked for was a French pedicure. You would think there we10 people behind me waiting for service the way she worked so quickly through my pedicure. My two year old niece could've done a better job. Do not do not do not waste your money going to this horrible nail salon, there's a reason why it's empty

So this nail solon is conveniently located with ample parking. U very rarely have 2 wait. That's the good news. The bad news they are sloppy with my nails and rush through with an eye on the door 4 their next customer. Hustling is great as long as it doesn't affect the job they are working on, which it does. The prices are constantly changing 2. A fill-in that was 40 was 45 on my last visit. After u pay the person is standing on top of u with their hand out 4 a tip, counts it in front of u and makes a face. I tip 5$ which I think is fair. I said nothing about all this but ive given it a few whirls but won't be back. The manicure is sloppy and does not wear well.

I can't even rate this place with a 1 star!! You make appointments and that does not matter they take you as you come. I guess because your time means absolutely NOTHING???? Several times I have made an appointment and I sit and wait at least 30-40 minutes? Unless I want to get one of there inexperienced nail people. Why did I make an appointment? I get a design and my granddaughter age 6 could have done a better job at $8.00 for two fingers! REALLY My time is important!!! I kill my self to get there on time why why why! They simply do not care at all. The owner Ricky walks around like he owns the town and does not apologize or even acknowledge the fact that you exist and he's the one who made my appointment. Listen your not the only nail salon in town which is why I'll NEVER go there again one must wonder why they already had to close 1 of there 3 salons. Well don't wonder! Don't listen to me and learn the hard way Just walk in and get a lousy job and pay top dollar. I have been going to this salon for many years since they opened. In the winter they cater to you in the summer every Tom, Dick and Harry go for their pedicure. Where are they in the winter? I go weekly for a mani and pedi but definitely NOT there any more!! Good riddance to a super poorly run business. I'll spend my $46.00 for a weekly mani/pedi elsewhere. Probably for a lot less $$ and get better service! PS I am not a needy person and this is my first review of any business but that's how much they pissed me off for the final time!
