Great experience with this salon! Sometimes the urge strikes you and strikes you HARD to get your hair cut, and that was me earlier today. Thankfully TJ Salon was able to get me in this morning, and they were super flexible with my booking process (unfortunately I had to push back the time due to my previous commitment running over, and they were incredibly accommodating).
Sam was the hair stylist/beautician/wonderful human I saw, and y'all - never in my life have I gotten a more attentive haircut! She was very detail oriented, and you could tell she genuinely wanted to make it a great experience and a great cut. 10/10 would recommend. I've gotten so many compliments on her work today and I feel like a whole new woman! Sam is Superb!
English village location. Tried at least 3 times with same stylist. Never the color I requested or expected. Staff was so rude especially the guy where you paid? Never saw his name but he acted like he was doing me a favor for being there. Very disappointed. Not what I expected from an Aveda salon. Would not recommend
Booked an express mani pedi here. Had to re do my nail shape because the lady didn't ask what shape and cut them down to the skin and didn't even clean under my nails. Then since she gave me a 34 second hand massage she tried charging me for full manicure which was totally ridiculous. Luckily her colleague ended up re shaping them. Asked for a blowout and was told the price. Ended up getting a half up do and was not told the price jumps $15 for that and honestly the 7 minutes to take my mostly dry hair, curl it and then tease and pin it was not at all worth the $55 it ended up being. Not impressed and will not be back here

The staff are friendly, client-focused, and professional. The premises itself is large and neat. I would definitely consider coming here if I need to get my hair styled for a special occasion.
(English Village location) I was in Birmingham for a wedding, and on a whim decided to get bangs -- a style I haven't sported since I was a teenager -- at Tonya Jones. Things could have (obviously) gone terribly, but I am so happy with my bangs, and the experience was wonderful! The salon itself is clean and beautiful, and my friend and I were offered complimentary beverages at their little bar upon arrival. We also had a great time while being styled -- the atmosphere is professional but festive! Highly recommend Tonya Jones to anyone in the Birmingham area.
