JCPenney Salon in Farmington, MO

2 salesclerk in jewelry doing nothing asked for help and was told when I finish what I'm doing and they both moved far away. I walked away. Then went to purchase a dress and shoes. After I was tang up and paid I ask. What about my rewards? With utter disgust she voided transaction. When I inquired about the missing belt with an eye roll I was told that's why it's on clearance. Well I didn't buy it nor the shoes. Children's DEPT. I also was not asked about rewards at the salon. Last trip in this store. Same issues every time

I visited Sunday to make a return. As I walked in the door, the alarm went off. No big deal usually, but as I was pulling my item and receipt out of my purse, the cashier looked at me like I stole it. She asked "Is that it?" I said "This is a return". You could see the light bulb come on as she said "Ohh...okay". This was the longest wait I've ever had to be only the second person in line. I was there for 5-7 minutes for a one item return. There was one other cashier working and they were absolutely the slowest girls I've ever seen at a checkout. The one I ended up with was not all that nice. I smiled and tried being friendly but she seemed to have zero interest in her job. When everything was all finished, she just kinda stood there. No "have a nice day" or anything. I don't shop J.C. Penney often, but when I do it definitely won't be at this location.

Went to JC Penney Salon to get my son and me both haircuts.  I don't know the stylist's name, but she did both of our cuts.  When we got home that evening and showered,....wow.My hair is chopped in spots and uneven in others. You could not tell in the salon, she had already cut and styled my hair and didn't even let me look at it while she was cutting it....my son's hair looks like it was sheared with dull blades, he has so many strands that weren't cut.....I have photos of them and I will never go back.  $46.00 for both and didn't even get a shampoo...needless to say, they won't ever get my business again.  Sorry.

I am going to make this review short and sweet since this was my first time in this store, I had  a very pleasant shopping experience even  though I was just kind of nosing around for some clothes.

The store is clean and its very easy to find your desired departments, and if you can't there are some very friendly and helpful employees to guide you in the direction that you so desire.   I grew up with my mom shopping at JC Penny on a regular basis and always coming home fully satisfied, and her delightful experiences some how have gotten passed down to me, so that I too can experience them as well, Thanks mom, and thanks JC Penny for a delightful experience..

For some reason, I always find better bargains and more items in my size at this small store rather than the store in South County.  I like the hometown feel of this store, small but still plenty of variety (and up to date fashion, not behind the times as some other 'town' stores are).  I always find something in the clearance sections and normal priced items always seem to be on sale.  My husband and I limit ourselves to one trip every few months because we spend so much (but its worth it!)  For example, yesterday I bought the cutest army green military wool coat - original price was $250 - marked down to $38, then with a button missing (was in the pocket and am going to sew it back on) was given another discount, bringing the $250 coat to $27!  What a bargain!  We ended up buying me shirts, jeans and dress pants for work, bought him a few shirts and much needed jeans, along with a baby outfit for my mom to be sister, and pillows (ALL of which were on sale).

Husband is a 34 length, which is hard to find, but somehow this store always seems to have his length (thanks!).  Yesterday in particular the woman manning the return clothing bin in the ladies dressing room was fantastic - she was so helpful and courteous.  I had so many clothes in my hands that she offered to go get me a shopping bag, and helped me find the pair of jeans that I had tried on (and loved) and managed to drop somewhere in the store.  She was spectacular, I only wish I would've gotten her name and told management - good asset to their team!

also - most JCP's are dirty/messy and I must say this one is always very clean - another shopping plus!

Will definitely be back -- just got to pay off this trip first :)
