My first impressions of this location were immediately soured. I understand employees are trained to color match using peoples face but I don't color match my face. I use SPF in my skin care. My face is much more pale than my chest. I requested she match my chest and continued to explain about why they match the face. The concealer shades I have at home are complimentary to the shades I match to my chest. Your face color match for my foundation will be lighter than my under eye concealer. That doesn't make much sense, does it? Ugh. What a waste of time. Thanks for the sample though. I couldn't even wear it though. I was disappointed to learning during my second visit that JCP locations don't accept returns that were purchased using PayPal during check out. I know it's not the employees fault but this is irritating. More time wasted. Third visit. Very put off by the older employee. I elaborate more on my Google review. I'm so sorry to all of the employees that have been nice in the past but in order for change to occur, complaints need to be made and I am not going to complain to your crabby manager lady (brown hair - probably around 50 years old). I went in for a return and unfortunately it was my fault I wasn't prepared but I felt as if the older lady was annoyed that I even ask to make a return. Or maybe she was just annoyed to help the newer employee. Is it that hard to be kind, and smile? I don't think I am asking for a lot. I just want to feel valued as a human being and also as a customer. I spend HUNDREDS at Sephora. I don't think I'll be back to this location. I can't wait until this area gets a real Sephora and not the rip off version. I'd rather wear the wrong color foundation than feel as if I am annoying someone. I like to think I am a nice customer and treat all people fairly upon first interaction. I expect the same from people who work in sales.
I went here around the holidays and asked for free samples of foundation to try at home before spending $$$ on the full size. Sephora website claims to give you samples of whatever you'd like, but the employee told me I could only have 3 and could not come a different day again to get more..... I emailed Sephora and let them know and they haven't gotten back to me :( Gave 2 stars because I like the store and every other Sephora I went to but this is not the usual experience I have! Don't go to try things out here, they won't give you more than 3 samples!
The ambiance of the Sephora at cross roads mall is inviting, and vibrant. As I made my way though the aisles of expensive makeup, I found myself at the back corner exploring the skincare products. Feeling lost, a kind staff member approached and helped me find the products I was looking for. I will never forget her.
Shayna is awesome! She's helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. This location isn't the biggest (inside a JCP) -as such, selection isn't the best, but it's great in a pinch. The ladies are very knowledgeable about product.
