You can often save 50-90% by finding a Groupon. The average cost varies by location, but your best bet is to check the app right before arriving; it's often worth buying in the car before even stepping foot inside. Worth the extra five minutes!
From the looks of it JC Penney is on its last leg and will soon go the way of the dinosaur. Shopping at Penney's today reminded me why I spend the majority of my money at Amazon and other online retailers because customer service is a dying skill. This is really a shame because I would prefer my dollars to go to our local economy and keep people employed but it seems more and more that they seem to forget they need people to shop there. Employees spend more time in conversations than helping customers and seem irritated that you are bothering them with your questions. After this trip I more than likely will not return due to the truly poor service. I wish I could excuse it as just an employee having a bad day but when it's every employee you interact with on your visit you realize it's more of a systemic issue. Thanks JC Penney...it was fun while it lasted.
I saw a promotion for $50 color service on the page of one of the stylist (LaSheria) at Pecanland Mall. I went in for last minute appointment after removing my braids. She was sure to make sure I found a color I liked. She offered to reschedule when the color I wanted was out of stock. The manager seemed to micromanage the stylist. She also said some rude things about my stylist to another stylist. My stylist was patient and accommodating. She used some GREAT products on my hair. They smelled AMAZING!! My hair (naturally curly) came out so silky and straight. I Love it and my Husband did as well.
I will be back to see LaSheria!
She does an awesome job of promoting herself and the salon!
DO NOT APPLY FOR A JCPENNEY CARD!
I worked for Jcpenney as a TRL almost five years ago before leaving to work for another company. In my time there because we always had such great deals my sister added me as an authorized user on her credit card account. Over the past five years I have primarily made the payments every single month. Sometimes late because I forgot but nevertheless it was always paid and our credit limit continued to grow.
Last month I called in last minute as usual but same time as usual and made my payment. At the end of the call it told me my payment would be posted on the same day business date (June 25th). No worries right? Wrong! My sister gets the bill today and opens it to find there is a late fee and our usual payment of $56 is now $96. I can pay that no problem....but why should I have to?
So we called. Spoke with an associate and two managers. By the time I got to Michael who informed me he WAS the manager of the call center and refused to refer me to anyone else or resolve the problem. Don't tell me you are crediting me the late fee if I'm still paying it in my minimum due. My issue with that is that as a peon in JCP I had more willingness to resolve customer issues than what they exercised today.
So when you tell me that my circumstances aren't dire enough for you to alter my minimum due I'm thinking about all the piddly fires I put out on a daily basis so that things don't escalate to this! I once gave a refund that was two years old and let the lady keep the merchandise just so she would stop it and go away. I did what couldn't be done because it resolved an issue that no one wanted to see on their desk. So again is it what you can't do or what you're just not willing to do?
Before I moved to Monroe, I thought JC Penny's had gone out of business. Store is nice and in good shipping location. Went looking for some new baby things and found them. Store was clean and staff so-so. It's just kind of got an old people vibe to it and it's not my cup of tea. Prices were kind of high, but definitely not high end.
