I ordered hair products online to be picked up in store. I received my package at the desk missing one product. I asked where it was because I got confirmation online that everything was successfull. they claimed they were out of product and could order it to be picked up in 4 days. came back 4 days later and left with my package. opened the package and it's a completely different hit product even though my receipt and online confirmation says I picked up the much more expensive product. very disappointing.

Fitting rooms were closed. Told they were 50 employees short. I asked about their "buy one get one" deal. I was scolded that there wasn't such a deal. I took her over to the sign that said there was. She said people flipped the sign over. Walked out in disgust. Covid or not I will not take being scolded. Went to other stores and spent money there.

On September 21st, 2018, my boyfriend and I decided to go into JCPenny in Onalaska, WI to find shirts for him. We found two flannels, a size M & a size L and since we typically don't go to JCpenny for clothes, we didn't know his exact size. We went to the fitting area and he decided to try it there so we can both decide which one fits him best. In my best and honest opinion, I told him that he should get the L because the M seemed a bit tight on the arms and it's more comfortable if it's a bit loose. You can tell the Medium looked small on him. The sales associate working in the fitting room area at that time (Her name is Jan), randomly jumped into our conversation and said to me that I shouldn't measure it by eye because it's incorrect and unnatural for me to estimate what size my boyfriend is. She also mentioned that "natural" people don't measure it estimate it and told my boyfriend what I said was incorrect. She also gave us an attitude as she was telling us her opinion. I ignored her and continued my conversation with my boyfriend. I told him he should still get the L because the M was too tight on the arms. The entire time I was talking to my boyfriend, she just stared at us with a straight face. It was getting uncomfortable for my boyfriend and I so we left the store afterwards. I'm sure there are lovely people who works there, but from what I've experienced with Jan that day, I wouldn't want to work with someone with her personality nor would I want her to treat others like this.

I don't care what other people might say about JCPenney here in Onalaska but I love the store and I love JC Penney! I have always found that to be accessible and I understand and I a lot of retail stores now don't have as many people available to give you the personal service they deserve but they still give me great prices great coupons, I love the jewelry department!

I've shopped at Penny's my whole life, my family gets pictures there once a year. I usually go to the mid rivers mall store(which is great). i recently moved and had to buy a suit for a wedding. went last Friday. waited for 45 mins before i could find anyone. she was working a register and could not help me. she did page someone. so I waited another 45 mins. while I waited 10+ people came, waited, got frustrated and went to shop somewhere else. my wife walked over and told the worker that we still had no help and the register lady pagged again. also 2 other customers had other people page for help in the suit department as its graduation time so it was busy in the suit dept. no one ever came. since the wedding was sat at noon I had no choice. I had to figure out how to have my wife measure me for a suit and spend another hour and a half using trial and error till I found one that fit good enough. the changing room was unattended and had piles of discarded clothes everywhere. probably a shoplifters dream. so I ended up buying the suit and tie and etc, 600$ I spent. I'd say it was a fluke visit as I've always had great service at other Penny's but as I was waiting I meet I family that was cutting through the store that told me to just go to menswharehouse as they did after waiting over an hour the day before with no help. I will not be shopping at Penny's ever ag as in and I will have to find another place for our family pictures to be taken later this month. also I'm a tall guy so I have few options of stores that carry tall clothes so I probably buy about 95% of my clothes at Penny's. not anymore.
