I have been cutting my own hair poorly for years because I couldn't find someone who I trusted to cut my hair. I went to see Jessica and had a great experience. She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and cut my hair great.

I've never written a Yelp review but Kayla at JC Salon more than deserves a strong recommendation. I always enjoy chatting with her because she is so friendly and hilarious. Even if you're shy or not particularly chatty, she is so easy to talk to and remembers everything you talk about in your previous appointment. I tend to get bored with my hair and back when I was too chicken to dye my hair she knew how to make a world of difference with subtle changes. She is so smart and really knows the science and technique behind coloring and cuts. I love asking her what she's doing and why she does it and she's more than happy to explain it to me! I give her total creative control when it comes to my hair now because she knows what will look best for my specific skin tone/undertone, hair type, and style. I appreciate that she spends the full appointment with me and keeps her prices fairly low/reasonable (For a full dye job of ~4 hours, washing, cutting, and curling costs me around $135 not including tip). To me, this shows that she is truly dedicated to her clients and really spends TLC to make sure her work is perfect. My friends tell me about expensive stylists in other cities that work on multiple clients at a time and give them all the same exact trending dye color/style. I am so thankful Kayla is not like this. Although she is on trend, she personalizes each appointment to tailor it to her client's best interest and never forces clients into a trend that wouldn't work. Recently I started dying my hair and she knew I was scared of a drastic change so she slowly introduced me into the process with baby steps. Another amazing thing about Kayla is that she has styled my hair in a way that keeps it low-maintenance. Since, I go to school in LA I cannot come back home to Stockton all the time for touch ups so she has dyed my hair in such a way that it requires little to no maintenance but has not compromised the quality. She is a hair genius! She is so sweet and I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair since I started going to her! I always enjoy seeing her and I LOVE my hair every time I am done with my appointments. I highly recommend finding pictures on Pinterest of cuts/styles you like and sending them to her beforehand so she can find similar styles that would look great on you from a hairstylist's perspective. I do this with her and we end up sending a few pics back and forth until we settle on a look so it takes the guessing and wondering out of your appointment. Or you can do what I do and juts hop in the chair and let her work her magic and reveal until the end haha! She does great makeup work as well and have already talked to her about doing my wedding makeup in the near future! However, if for some reason she is not taking any new clients (every friend I have recommended goes to her but not sure if she has filled up or not), everybody at JC Salon is amazing and you can never go wrong with any of the staff. The atmosphere is relaxing, friendly, and so cute! I remember I started going there when they were in the process of remodeling and it is such cute little beauty boutique now! It's a wonderful place for your every beauty need. My brow lady of 8 years recently quit and I know that JC Salon is so dependable for every service so I will go to them for brows and manis/pedis!

I love this place and Christina was so wonderful. She literally brought my hair back to life after having my hair done at another salon. The atmosphere is tranquil. Definitely recommend coming here. I have no idea why people are giving JC Salon less than 5 Stars. I have been going to Jessica (owner) for 2 years. Every time I visit the salon I feel completely pampered. Jessica is always update to date with the current trends and I receive perfection each time I leave. Jessica is honest and her prices are very reasonable. Jessica cares about her clients and this shows. The salon is clean and nicely decorated. All the staff at friendly and greet you with a smile and hello.
