Very shitty experience with the counselors here. The person (D. K., I'll call them) was uninterested in helping me or connecting to me. She wanted my medical information like a quiestionnarie, but not much else. She sat down and waited for me to talk, then challenged me when I asked her what to share or talk about. I'm really not comfortable being stared down like an idiot by someone who is supposed to be my friend. I left feeling misundestood. No one deserves to experience that. I've also heard a lot of other people complain specifically about Psych BC in person. They didn't have the same counselor, but they said the others were just as bad. The reception staff were kind and helpful about payment, though.
Psychbc wasn't listed on Yelp so I took the time to create the business. Hopefully that tells you something. My particular counselor has been extremely professional but more importantly very, very helpful to me. One of the many things I appreciate about this business is they have a LOT of counselors to choose from and they work in tandem with their psychiatrists for the best possible treatment options if needed. They have a lot of locations which obviously is helpful and evening hours. I would highly recommend psychbc to anyone looking for counseling for any reason.
