I have been to many traditional salons before wearing my hair natural for well over 15 yrs. Most I left feeling as if I had worked a full day at the office. Stylist overbooked, so I was sat under a hair dryer to allow the stylist to play catch up. Others were scissor happy, and their prices fluctuated depending upon what they had to pay. During my natural hair journey I was lucky to find a salon & stylist I was extremely happy with, in Richmond. I drove over an hr one way every 2 weeks until my stylist passed away. I saw my cousin's hair, asked her who did it & she referred me to Toya. My very 1st appointment with Toya I knew I had found a KEEPER! Toya has since cut, colored, & treated my hair for months now. To say I'm pleased with her services is an understatement! Toya's hands are gifted,& she is always professional & on time! When I walk through the door I am greeted with a huge smile, followed by "what are we doing today?" Toya treats her clients like they & theie time matters. I'm taking my daughter to have Toya maintain her hair. If you're looking for a professional & knowledgeable stylist Toya most definitely your girl!

We love this place. I've had everything from color to fusion extensions to box braids, going back tomorrow for my daughter to get braids and next week for my faux dreads. The knowledge is the best part as I'm Caucasian and was not familiar with the different types of hair and installs and I needed to know how to care for it to get its life out of it and my newly adopted daughter is biracial and Toya has helped me tons with understanding how to take care of her hair. We're customers for life hands down

Ladies let me tell you this is THE PLACE to come for extensions, highlights, color, or style!!!!! Toya did an AMAZING job on my highlights and sew in extensions She brought my hair to LIFE She took her time and blended everything!!! Janee did a good job on correcting my daughters hair!! Do yourself a favor and come see these ladies Here we are 17 days later and the very next day I noticed that my extensions had not only been sewn in with white thread, they were wrapped all the way to the side of my head preventing me from being able to wear my hair up AT ALL.... At 7 days post installation of my extensions they were already falling out and pulling on my real hair. This could have caused serious damage as in balding had I left it like that. Today I walked into Belle Tressor Hair Salon by the Grace of God and found a wonderful lady who was kind enough to fix the extensions and tone my hair because the foil job that was done by Toya looked horrendous and did not match my extensions at all!! I wanted so badly to like Janees Hair salon because Janee is actually really sweet! Toya on the other hand was not very respectful. I paid $200 upfront for my services mind you... When I had first arrived I was 20 minutes late to my 10:00 appointment due to Janee asking me to bring my daughter to my appointment at 9:20, so I had to turn my car around, drive bk and get my daughter who was sleeping, and drive back to the shop. She was shampooing a woman's hair and had another in the chair waiting to be blow dryed out. She stated rudely "there's a late fee and cancellation policy I guess I should have told you about yesterday. Now you'll have to wait until I get to you" .... EXCUSE ME.... Even if I had been there on time you were doing 2 other women's hair. My daughter had an orange tint to her hair. I wanted the orange out of all of her hair. They did foil highlights and my daughters hair is still orange This should have been fixed with toner not highlights come to find out. Do NOT come here for color whatever you do and definitely not for no braid beaded hair extensions!!!
