JA Nail Zone in Murfreesboro, TN

I highly recommend this salon. I had been looking for "my"salon. And I finally found it. I've lived in Murfreesboro for 14 years and this is the first time I have gone back repetitively to the same salon. They are a little more expensive than other salons, but the cost I think is negligible in comparison to the quality of the work that is done.

The only reason I give two stars is because I had a good experience the first time I went, so I returned. I also think the people that work here are talented. That being said I waited hours for my service to be completed even with an appointment. A young woman that was serviced before me had been waiting over a hour for her appointment as well. We were told that it's because they were short staffed and that is completely understood. However, I asked for something specific, and was told no and talked into receiving dip instead of the acrylic that I asked for. She said that it takes too long to soak it off. Dip powder does not work for me. It comes off my nails, breaks easily, and I don't like the aesthetic. I left the nail salon in tears and two days later my thumb nail broke off and three other nails are cracked. I work in a luxury retail environment and just doing every day things... they were broken. So I paid almost $80 for substandard work and was denied what I had asked for. The other person that I sat next to who had also been waiting was also told "no". It's not a skill or talent deficit, it is a willingness piece. I'm willing to pay for the work that I want done. Now I'm having to pay again to go to a different salon to get what I want done. All I wanted was pink and white acrylic and I was told that I couldn't have that but they would do the French part with gel polish. That doesn't work for me. They don't wash their hands or change gloves in between customers, they do not sanitize tools in between customers, and there's dust and nail pieces all over the place. If you have a latex allergy, like I do, don't let them touch you because they wear latex gloves and I have a rash all over my hands. I'm really disappointed and they have lost a customer.

I am disappointed to have to leave this, as I was very excited to try ja nail zone. I went today and paid for an upgraded pedicure and a dip manicure. I tipped 15% and left after paying $130. Once I left, I became increasingly more disappointed that neither service included a massage, and I called to inform them of this oversight. I was told that I didn't pay enough attention because the nail tech who did my pedicure spent a lot of time on it. I was also told that the dip manicure didn't include a massage. I am not only shocked that the service didn't include a massage, but that when I asked about it I was told that I didn't pay enough attention. I won't be going back due to the unfriendly customer service and outrageous prices for minimum services.

I needed a gel fill for Mother's Day so I made an appointment for later in the afternoon on May 6th. Four stars instead of five due to the long two hour wait as if I didn't have an appointment... Also because I was expecting to pay $50+ but was surprised when I was told my total was over $80+! I loved the way Jasmine made my nails look but I waited to post my review to see how long they would last.
It's now June 17th and my nails are still holding on past time for a fill.
I'm pleasantly surprised how long they lasted. My pointer fingernail on my left hand and pinky fingernail on my right hand are starting to come off the nail bed.
Made another appointment for this afternoon... Hopefully it's better than last time as far as the wait time goes.
