J. Shane's Hair Studio has been at its current location now for 12 years.  Shane's prices and quality of work are unbeatable. His time is spent with you the client from consultation to the end of service. His prices are more than reasonable and uses only top quality colors and other products. Give him a call or text he answers both.

Quoted a price over the phone two days before the appointment. At the appointment, the price went up $6. I don't appreciate dishonesty in any form and this is dishonesty to me. It was a very standard cut that most barbers are doing for less than the quoted price. I know this because I called them all. So I paid double for the cut that I was already spending more for than the others,  which is absolutely ridiculous.
Also, the shop is cute, but if you are allergic to animals, it is an extreme trigger. I didn't see an animal, but the carpet had a lot of unmistakable animal hair and made me have an asthma attack.

I contacted J Shane's Hair Studio to see about getting my waist length hair cut to my shoulders. I also wanted to get some highlights done. One request I had was that I wanted my hair cut off in a way that I could donate it, not only did Shane cut it long enough for a donation he was going to take care of sending it in for me. He spoke with me for a while getting to know exactly what I was looking for in my new style. Normally when I have my hair cut off that much it takes me several days to get used to & "like" a new style but as soon as Shane finished with my hair I fell in love with it immediately. Everyone who has seen my new style has loved it. My husband even introduced me to his parents as his "new wife" lol...

I went to J Shanes after a prior stylist highlighting left me with yellow/gold hair and ragged ends. He did a great job fixing the color and the cut. Couldn't be more pleased. Shane is a self proclaimed country man, in a small 1 chair salon, but don't judge a book by its cover, he worked a miracle on my hair.

I recently had to change hair stylist in the waynesville area so I called J Shane to make an appointment. He was very accommodating to find a time that fit my schedule.
He is a "one chair" salon so you get all of his attention. He truly listens to what you want and offers some suggestions.
I had a cut, color and hilite so I was a little nervous but I was so happy with how my hair turned out. I highly recommend J Shane Salon !! Next appointment is in May for a trim !
