IVEY in Ann Arbor, MI

I have been very pleased with the service I received at Ivey in the past. Every stylist that I've met has been kind, helpful and skilled in their profession. I've left with a lot of haircuts I liked a lot, as well as some great color. They've also helped me make sure to stay within my budget. However, when my mother called to make an appointment today, we discovered that our whole family had been banned from the salon? We've been wracking our brains to figure out what we possibly could have done wrong that would warrant being completely barred, and we can't think of anything. The worst part is that they won't tell us what we have done wrong though we asked very politely for a reason and didn't even ask them to change their decision-we just want to know what the issue is. We all try to be kind and considerate people in our daily lives. We're insulted and confused about what could have happened. I do not recommend going here if you are socially anxious. They claim to be a safe space, but this is not the type of behavior that I expect from people who say that. Anything you say could apparently be taken wrong-that, or, they have made a mistake and refuse to correct it, which is also a huge problem. Not happy.

10s, 10s, 10s across the board! Casey is one of the most genuine and thoughtful humans I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She is highly knowledgeable and v talented. I've been seeing her for a few months now and I have been more than happy with her work every single time. She is observant, listens, and remembers. Which is impressive given that I'm sure she works with an extensive client base. Everything she has recommended for me has been spot on, from cuts to products. She's also as kind as it gets and works very hard to create a safe, inclusive, and aesthetically pleasing space for anyone and everyone. Every other member of her staff that I've interacted with has also been no less than A+ human beings. I love them all so much and can't recommend them enough!

they are the kindest people ever, jess gave me a beautiful haircut and explained everything she was doing as she was doing it, it was such an enjoyable experience and i'm so happy i found them :)

Thank you Ivey!!! Had a great experience today - my typical salon cancelled on me 30 minutes prior to my appointment. I called Ivey in desperation to try and get fit in, they told me they'd call me back if they had an opening, and about 10 minutes later - they did!!! Jess did such a great job with my hair. She took extra attention to detail to get the color and cut exactly how I had asked for. Everyone was so pleasant, the salon is clean and stylish and I will definitley be back!!

I don't usually do reviews, but this place is wonderful. The salon has a fantastic, positive, welcoming atmosphere. Mackenzie is very fun and talented and made me feel comfortable and heard. I will definitely be going back to her again.
