Inspire Salon & Gallery in Mobile, AL

Moving here from Texas I was a little gun shy about getting my haircut in a new city. Especially, since I had decided 6 mos. earlier to grow it longer. Found INSPIRE on Google as one of the "Top 3" in the area. They did not disappoint. They should be #1! Walked in with an appointment but they weren't quite ready. No problem. Enjoyed a beverage and then the owner Julie called me up. What an interesting and nice person. Gave me a little advice  on what she  thought would look nice and went to work. Great conversation and the haircut was perfect! Then I was given a shampoo by another young woman and all i can say is I left relaxed and with the best hair in the city! Thank you ladies! Taylor Westwood at Inspire Salon & Gallery is my go-to girl for when I feel feisty and want some bold color. She's super easy to talk to, and truly enjoys going outside the box when it comes to my hair.
The salon itself has a nice atmosphere - music playing, very calm and relaxing. The chairs at the sink are massage chairs, and you get to use them while your color sits. They offer different beverages while you sit and wait for your color. I was offered water, sodas, even a complimentary glass of wine.
New hair, a massage, and a glass of wine - yes, please! Who doesn't enjoy being pampered?
The only thing I didn't like was parking. Because it's on the corner of Dauphin Street, there's very limited parking and if it's raining, there goes your new hair style. However, I didn't feel like it was enough of an issue to dock any stars.
I do recommend this place, and highly recommend Taylor Westwood. She's awesome at her job. The photos I've provided are from February, when I was going to Mardi Gras balls and wanted something bold. Bright pink with purple roots did the trick!

LOVE THIS SALON!! I've been seeing Taylor for almost 7 years and she is the master at color! She always gets my shade of blonde just right with the right tone. I don't trust anyone else with my hair, and she's never failed me. This salon is so relaxed and has coffee/wine/cokes to sip on while receiving service as well which is so refreshing. Would recommend this salon to anyone whether it be for a haircut/trim/color/anything!

Love this Salon. It's in the heart of Downtown Mobile. heir customer service is absolutely extraordinary! Relaxing atmosphere and the stylist are all so friendly!

I have never been so traumatized. I went to get full highlights and a trim by Amy. The highlights weren't awful, but the cut was a train wreck. There was no rhyme or reason to what she did to my hair. She tried to give me layers. I ended up with random chops taken out of my hair. This was the first time I've tried someone new in the last four years, and I learned my lesson. Before she started cutting she didn't even ask my part. She threw my hair where I guess she thought it should go and started cutting before I could even say anything. At that point all I could do was sit stunned in fear. She didn't have time to blow dry my hair so I was promised a free blow out the next day. I woke up the next day to the sight of my hair ruined. I am currently in a new salon 6 days later getting my hair fixed by someone who actually knows what they're doing.
