Hot Spot Barber & Beauty Salon in New Orleans, LA

No Barbers on duty & no one answers the phone..There were 4 ppl waiting,lights on but no barbers insight

This was a great hair cut experience. I was in dire need of a haircut. I did what any good yelper would do. I yelped the nearest barbershops. Their were plenty of shops but this seemed a little more my pace. When I showed up it wasn't what I expected. It was small, old and in a neighborhood. But I hoped Yelp was right.

The hotspot was legit. The guy in charge was great full for me stopping in. I'm guessing I'm not his usual clientele. He accommodated me very well. He took his time and really worked his magic. So much so that I think he was impressed. We talked about the spurs and how he really always roots for them. Even from being from so far away. This place just made me feel very comfortable. Despite the look and the location. He has a lot of clients and a lot of barbers to cover them. The hotspot is really the hotspot. If ever in need of a haircut stop in and tell him about this review. He will know who it was. We even walked to the store together afterwards. He was like the neighborhood celebrity. And well that thing about him being impressed. Yeah he even took pictures of his masterpiece. He really did work magic.

AVOID.. Very unprofessional the Barber was cutting my hair as if he was in rush . I asked for 1.5 on top  with skin tape up both side were not even. For 25$ dollar hair cut this was the worse hair cut I have ever gotten in my life hand down . Will never be going back to this barber again .

Someone from the area had brought me to this barber shop and boy was I extremely happy. I was in need of a haircut and the barber cleaned me up real good.

This barbershop is popular to the city of New Orleans and caters to blends and modern style haircuts. It's a black barbershop so you're getting great, clean, and careful cuts. Prices start at $25 for men and about $15 for boys I believe? A haircut and shave will run from $30-35.

Make sure to either make an appointment or just arrive early because usually the barbershop will pack up with customers. It's cash only so if you need an ATM, there's a liquor store across the street with one.

There are more than a couple barbers here so that gives options to the customers. This shop is vibrant with flame wall papers and shoes on shelves for presentation.

Whenever I'm in town I'll definitely make sure to get another cut here!
