Hollywood Nails at Tates Creek in Lexington, KY

Descent service. Walked in and was being helped with 10 minutes compared to three other salons I went to that told me they could not help me until the following day. As expensive as other "nicer" salons. Friendly staff. My feet did not feel soft after the pedicure and my finger nails lost the shine within two days. I also hate it when they do not push the cuticle down and it looks like a 4 day manicure when you walk out of the salon. All in all it was okay and I would come back.

I've been coming here for years then I moved about 2 hours away. Any time I was close and needed my nails done, I would stop! I have now moved back close again and have made it my regular stop! The family and staff are so nice and sweet.

My biggest regret this week was not checking Yelp reviews before running off in a kid free hour to get my nails done- and just going to the salon closest to my houseeee!

I went in mid-day to a nearly empty salon with a few screen shots of what I wanted for nails. The guy told me I had two options for the type of nail he used and I told him which ever he preferred.

Right away I noticed he wasn't paying any attention to my cuticles or doing much prep before applying nails. Once I mentioned I needed them cleaned up he asked me if I wanted a manicure too. I responded that they had to be cleaned up before applying nails, to look good and I was informed that would be an additional cost and was shown $85 on a calculator. I agreed and continued.

When applying the nails he asked me several times if they looked good while doing the nails. I responded even if they didn't I wouldn't complain and he is the professional. I also thought they looked good from what I could see and I didn't have time to complain.

Once I left and really got a good look at my nails, none of them are straight and my actual nail is showing on the sides. I paid $100 and yes they look better than my short authentic nails but look like I did them myself, every nail slightly pointing a different direction.

I went into this nail place with a friend and I watched him get his nails done. The tech was a nice lady but she took a long time and seemed a bit inexperienced. The tech was coughing with her mask down and didn't cover her mouth. There were also a couple of times where she would get distracted on the phone, or stop to talk to coworkers. My experience here wasn't great I do not recommend....

I had used this Salon for years and today I went in for SNS removal and a new set but a guy clipped my nails and tried to pop off 2 of my nails. It felt like it ripped my natural nail and brought tears to my eyes. It damaged my natural pinky nail! I've never experienced that kind of removal anywhere before! Another guy moved me and did a soak off after left my nails looking like crap. They still charged me $15. I'll never be back.
