Hill Country Nails & Spa in Spring Branch (unincorporated community), TX

Went in for a pedicure and manicure and left because it was old and dirty. There was definitely an issue with cleanliness. I worried about the possibility of infection by unsanitary tools.

Kevin has been doing my nails for two years. He does a great job! They never peel or chip and they last almost a month!

It's kind old in here, when going to a spa I expect new and clean, fresh, didn't feel or look that way. They have lots of shellac color selection which is nice and I always opt for OPI because they have a good quality polish. I'm not a fan of them removing the old shellac with the electric nail filer, I feel it takes a thin layer of your top nail when they could have simply soaked your nails in acetone for a couple of min but then you deal with chemicals so pick your poison. So everything was going fine I guess until the shellac came, she was just slapping the polish on unevenly and you can see smudges and where the polish is overlapping from each coating..NOT good. I usually NEVER have someone fix it but this time I was like nahhh that needs to be fixed, it was NOT GOOD. First she blamed the polish color ( eye roll) then she blamed my nail ( like okay I have had like 349876 shellac pedicures) my nail has never been an issue for tacky shellac painting but okayyyyy. Anyway, I made her remove the shellac from both big toes and it was not cute and your not paying $20 bucks as you know for a shellac pedicure, it's upwards of $50 PLUS. I shouldn't have to tell these techs how to apply shellac polish....she didn't even let each coat dry before applying a new coat.....I won't be coming back, sticking to my usual meticulous ladies in the Alamo Quarry. I still left 20% tip because well she semi-corrected it for the most part I guess and I am not shady.

I don't understand the good reviews on here. This is BY FAR the worst nail salon I have ever been to! It was very cheap, but I suppose it is what you pay for it. I went in with sns dip on my nails and wanted it taken off with a fresh coat of polish and a pedicure. They #1 seemed to have no idea what to do with it, and #2 had no idea what I was talking about. I spent 30 minutes in a chair at the manicure station, until I was finally served. They took it off, but the lady who did it did a horrible job on my polish, and didn't clip or shape my nails. When I went over to get a pedicure, I sat there for an additional 20 minutes (while the water got cold) and then was worked on. The gentleman who did my toe nails did a decent job, but it was more of my finger nails that pissed me off. I ended up asking 3 times for this lady to file, cut off a hang nail, and smooth out my polish. I'm usually not a very picky person, but I WIL NOT go back here again! (The polish mostly came off by day 3)

This Is by far the worst nail salon I've ever been to. Kevin was late for my appointment, after I told him 5 separate times what I wanted, he continued to do whatever he wanted to do and my nails look like a joke. A 7 year old could have done a better job. Never will I ever come back to this rat hole
