Harlow Salon in Johns Island, SC

I needed to find a new stylist and new salon. I stumbled across Shelby at Harlow Salon and I'm so glad I did! This is the second time Shelby has done my hair and it's been perfection both times. I got full highlights and a trim. I asked for a brighter, cooler toned blonde and she absolutely delivered. So glad I found such a great stylist in a salon that feels so welcoming! Highly recommend!

I visited Harlow Salon and Spa today for a haircut, root touch-up, and highlights. A friend told me about Harlow and how pleased she was with her services, so I decided to book an appointment. I have a pixie haircut with thick, curly hair. It's been a challenge to find someone who understands how to cut a pixie, especially with curly hair. Harlow salon is open 7 days a week from 9AM-8PM by appointment. No children are allowed in the salon.
I met Ashby, who did my services. She took the time to talk to me about what I wanted. What was currently working and not working. We went through some photos I brought to discuss what I wanted.
Ashby has a lot of energy and really understood what I was looking for with cut and color. She took her time and nailed it! The cut and the color are exactly what I wanted. I am so pleased! The salon is very relaxing and all of the guests were happily chatting with their stylists. I booked my next appointment!They sell shampoos, conditioners and styling products.  They offer services for men and women. If you are looking for a relaxing salon experience with a stylist that listens and delivers, I recommend Harlow Salon and Ashby.

"It is not worth the risk of going to harlow & potentially not liking the outcome of your hair bc trying to communicate with the owner is a nightmare & she will do absolutely nothing for you. You will be paying an arm and a leg. There are plenty of other amazing salons for way better prices than this and I'M POSITIVE better owners than Kelli. Harlow salon is the worst and does not care if you are unhappy with your service." This previous review could not be more accurate. After spending $475 on my hair it was not what i asked for (refer to pictures) and i asked if we could come back in to tone it darker. They agreed but charged me another 130 to do so. After leaving i was still not please with what i recieved vs what i paid so i reached out to the owner (not the stylist) to ask for a partial refund. She didnt even bother calling me back or emailing me. She found me on social media and HARRASSED ME. Calling me a liar, said its my own fault my hair was ruined??, dming my friends. This woman is quite literally unhinged. Than when she didn't get the response publicly I guess She was hoping for She proceeded to call me and texting asking if i was woman enough to speak with her directly? And stated i should have gotten in contact with her salon directly instead of the stylist? Which was what I did. Honestly just blown away by the unprecedented behavior. Never in my life have i recieved this kind of customer service when i simply was just not please with my result.

Brie did an amazing job on my hair. Here is a message I sent her on Instagram a few days after she cut my hair.
"...I hope you remember whatever you did, because this is the best haircut I've ever had. I always ask my stylist to thin it out as much as possible...no one has ever thinned it so much or so well. I love it. It's easy to style and feels so good.

I just wanted to let you know I love my hair and ask you to remember me so you can cut it again in a couple months."

Brie is absolutely fantastic! She gives me the best men's cut I've ever had. As a guy who mostly wears hats, there are times where I need to look somewhat presentable and I have a tough time getting the right look that I am wanting. After going to Brie, she listened carefully to my changing requests to try and get the right look, and she nails it every time now. She always takes her time and work craftily and diligently. I know I will walk out feeling like a million bucks, I highly recommend and have even sent some of my buddies her way!
