Hands of Glory Salon and barbershop in Dallas, TX

I have had different barbers and beauticians at Hands of Glory. All of them have definitely been great, but my beautician Laverne has always really taken care of me. If I were going to give a 5 star rating it is honestly because of her specifically. Laverne has progressively made my hair grow and we measure it each time. I believe everyone with long hair has a slow/stunned growth phase where you must really be attentive or it wont grow. In my stunned growth phase Laverne continued to provide the best care for my hair and I am always asked "who does your hair". Her work speaks for itself and I would suggest her if your concerned with keeping your scalp and hair healthy and growing. Thanks Laverne and Hands of Glory. -AJ

I honestly wish I could give them 0 stars and really it's not the salon itself. They need to let more quality and professional beauticians rent there. It's shouldn't be on the shop to receive a bad review or reputation because of a bad stylist. Dominique is a very unprofessional stylist. I let her braid my hair, she was late, obviously high because she reeked of marajuana and totally unfocused. She was taking phone calls, walking out the room talking with other people. I thought I'd give her another chance, especially since I hadn't complained about how poor her service was and my hair was decent even despite everything else. This last time I booked with her more than a week in advance, on a Tuesday. She confirmed the appointment at the time of booking, then the day before the appointment she confirmed with me about the style I wanted. 20 min after that she cancelled my appointment... without saying anything, no text or call. Directly after the cancellation I get an email from her saying she will now be taking clients from home. I sent her a message asking her if that's where she wanted to come... I wasn't comfortable with that. She never replied, I called a few more times and still no reply. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone I know.

Very unprofessional, don't trust the yelp hours they open and close whenever they want.

I take my son here to get his hair cut, his barber Isaiah is awesome!!!! Please check him out if you are nearby, he does a really great job!!!

Drove 20 minutes for a 8am appt. the barber never showed up, unfortunately after waiting for 30 minutes I left. The manager(door said manager) did acknowledge I was there but never made an attempt to contact the John to make sure he was coming on time or at least on his way there. Wasted over an hour of my time on a Saturday morning when could of just stayed in my bed.
