Hair Theatre Salon in St. Louis, MO

I've had my extra long hair cut here twice now. I was so impressed both times by the high quality work that was done by different stylists!  This time, Kristin was friendly and welcoming, and listened so well when I attempted to tell her what I wanted. The shampoo was relaxing  and not rushed at all! I will be back!!!

This was my first time at Hair Theatre.  It's a big place! I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door. My appointment was with Emma.  She greeted me right away, I filled out some necessary forms that they keep on file and she took me to her station.  We talked about the cut I wanted; she washed my hair; did the cut; we talked over some products she had suggested; I chose which I wanted her to use and then she styled my hair. I loved it! Once we were finished, I chose to buy one of the products. There was no pressure to buy, just lots of great suggestions.  I think the prices are reasonable. I'll definitely go back!

Tylr is awesome!  Great style he gave me and I've received many compliments.  Very friendly place with reasonable prices.

So this review is very very very old (2017) but after getting my hair dyed at other salons, it made me realize how good of an experience I received during my time here.

I originally called in requesting another colorist (I forgot the name) but since she was not available, the front desk offered another colorist instead. I yolo'd and accepted the appointment with the new colorist, Jayden.

Jayden brought my virgin black hair to blonde and dyed it pink and magenta exactly like I requested. He was able to do the color in one session within a 3 hour span. He gave me confidence in his skill when he mentioned that he was very experienced in Asian hair. I also got to watch him give tips and instructions to the other stylists that came to view his work, which displayed the mentorship he provided. The total came out to be less than $250 for the project. He was also able to provide recommendations for shampoo and conditioner to preserve the new color in my hair.

After I moved away from the Midwest, I went to salons that took over 5 hours to dye my hair, or charged me almost $500 and didn't even bring me to the color that I asked for. I was so livid at the last one and I really reminisce the experience I had here at this salon. I didn't know how good I had it here, and if I ever get the chance to return and get my hair done again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Grace did an amazing job on my hair! I told her what I wanted and she did it perfectly. Very impressed.
