Hair Studio Plus in Denver, CO

I almost never leave reviews, let alone negative ones but this time I need to. I can't speak for anyone with amazing naturally light/strong hair but if you have dark/fine/sensible hair, DO NOT COME HERE. Just don't do it to yourself.

I went to this place on a Saturday morning, a few days after a call with the hair stylist that would do my hair, explained everything I needed and wanted, told her about my hair, even though it was virgin, it's a very fine and dark hair and that I'd like to have blonde, cool blonde HIGHLIGHTS. So the price advertised for the service was $115 or something. I went there, showed her my actual dark extensions with cool blonde highlights and said this is what I want, CAN YOU DO IT? A simple and honest "NO MARINA, I CAN'T DO IT ON YOUR HAIR" would have saved me from this horrible hair days before my WEDDING. The girl was nice but not skilled at all, which's the owner's fault, as it seems like most of them are young and unexperienced.

She started doing my hair, saying "yes we can do it"! I told her multiple times I wanted COOL blonde full head highlights. Based on my experience watching real professionals do highlights, she didn't leave the product work long enough, nor did she reapply it to get to the cool results I wanted. I said nothing, she's supposed to know what she is doing. She washed my hair, blow dried it WITHOUT letting me even look in the mirror (something wrong right there), not styled my hair at all and showed it to me "it looks beautiful"! I was like it's not a cool blonde, super unhappy but didn't want to be rude, my hair looked weird but I was like let me go home and maybe I'll come back to do more.

She then says "oh we did balayage (it looked nothing like balayage but okay) so it's $185". Okay, I paid, tipped and came home unhappy and unsatisfied.

Few minutes later called her after seeing HALF OF THE BACK not with a single highlight, not to mention orange highlights that I didn't want. Called her asking to come back to "fix it all". WHAT A MISTAKE.
The following Monday, September 25th, I went back with the hopes that she would truly fix it. The color that was brassy orange and uneven highlights AND the lower half of my head that had nothing at all. She said SHE COULD tone the color to a cooler color and add more highlights. She only made it worse, by adding MORE of the same brassy orange and uneven highlights that looked horrible. I have my wedding coming up and now there's nothing I can do, as any real professionals that I contacted would not touch my hair any earlier than 4 months. So yes, not to mention that she charged me more of the service I had ordered WITHOUT asking me if it was okay, she did this horrible job and now I can only fix it by dying my hair that was VIRGIN, dark again. Absolutely horrible, I wish I could go back in time, so I'd have my natural hair and not have wasted $250.

Went for the first time because I wasn't 100% happy with where I was going.   Colbie was friendly and easy to converse with and I love what she did with my hair.  I think I have found my stylist!

I needed a haircut so badly, I googled salons in the area. I read the reviews and thought,  heck let's check it out. So glad I did. When I called, the receptionist was very friendly. She made me an appointment for the next day (sweet). My stylist was Abby. She asked what I would like. I said help haha. We talked about what my hair is and does. I said do what you want. She said what do you think about doing this? I told her yes, please! It is refreshing that when you go to get your hair done and don't know what to do and ask a stylist to help and they communicate instead of taking you literally and doing what they want. I can not express my gratitude to Abby enough! Very knowledgeable, professional, and sweet! She has a new client for sure

I was really excited to try out this new salon, but the service I received was very low quality. My hair stylist cut my hair very unevenly-- a full inch difference in length from the right side of my head to the left. In addition, I asked for long layers, face-framing layers, and dimension, but the haircut turned out very subpar.

Dianna did a great job on my hair! She was detail oriented and super fun to chat with.

I will definitely be going back to see her.
