Can't relate to the other positive reviews. I had my first appointment and it was thoroughly disappointing, so much so that I made an account JUST to post this review. I got an average haircut coupled with extremely subpar customer service. I don't know if things have gone downhill at this business since the other reviews were posted, but the experience I had was severely lacking. Things started out courteously enough, but rapidly devolved into a strange mix of unsolicited advice giving/passive aggression. I was made very self conscious and felt belittled for a medical condition that I have and was told that had the stylist known, she wouldn't have even cut my hair. Seems to be a far cry from the other two glowing reviews here. I would never recommend this business to anybody I know, not even my absolute worst enemy. Give this one a pass.
I. Love. My. Stylist. Granted, I came across her because she is married to a coworker. I thought "sure, I'll give her a try. I don't get my hair cut that often, but I can sometimes be particular... let's see how she does." JESS DECARR IS FANTASTIC. She always gives me a fantastic cut. And if, a few weeks later I decide to completely change my mind, she's there for me. She will sit you down in her chair and consult with you prior to bringing you over for a shampoo. That's fantastic, as most stylists ask "whattaya want?" after your hair is wet and dripping down your neck. Not Jess! As she's cutting, it's like she reads my body language to know what to do next. She's fantastic. I get great haircuts, they grow out beautifully, and I am so happy with her work. I never color my hair, but she is also a color specialist. I've seen her work in photos, and it is gorgeous. As my grays start coming through, she will be my go-to! Highly recommend Hair It Is as a warm, inviting atmosphere (free easy private parking lot, too!), with affordable pricing. I also highly recommend Jess DeCarr as a super stylist! **note, if your eyebrows are beastly, fear not! Jess is also available to wax!
