GS HAIR in Smithfield, NC

I have seen Greg three times now for my naturally wavy fine hair for precision haircuts, highlights and low-lights. I am hoping to see him soon for Fall hair. He's very skilled, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The salon is chic. Parking is easy. I park across the street. I have gone to many salons in the past 13 years since moving up from SoCal and I must say Greg's skills are excellent and worth it. Everyone else who works there is kind. I am looking forward to seeing him soon

After over a decade of treating myself to a salon hair style, I did a little research and settled on GS Hair. I was not disappointed! I left the salon feeling renewed and refreshed and ready to take on the world. It can be scary to visit a salon during these times but rest assured, everyone in the salon is safe and sanitized. During my visit I observed everyone constantly wiping down, sanitizing, and cleaning areas immediately after use. Everyone was wearing a mask. I felt safe and comfortable. Greg is amazing and super friendly. My overall experience was a 10. I highly recommend this place.

Greg Saumure is a master hair cutter, and a nice guy.
 I am a "woman of a certain age" and came to his salon after 7(!) years of neglecting my hair. No color, no cut, a little thinning on top; I had just let it go. I was unsure of what to do. Cut it short, color it?
I felt bad about my hair.
 I arrived early for my appointment and was able to watch Greg finish cutting the hair of another client. Her hair looked great, with flawless layering that created a sleek style with lots of movement. I knew that I had come to the right place.
 Greg told me that my hair color (Ash Blonde with Grey streaks) was  beautiful. He advised me not to color it at all even though I had booked an appointment for color and cut. Greg gave me a great cut. He took off about 4" of hair so that it fell gently at my shoulders,
and then layered it to frame my face beautifully. I booked my next appointment on the spot.
 I left Greg's salon feeling good about my hair, and feeling great about myself.

Greg, Vidal Sassoon himself couldn't have given me a better hair cut, I now look well-coiffed. The three different Pinterest images I showed you, came out with perfect precision. You and the staff are very engaging and personable, such a nice and welcoming atmosphere, and the location is great, since I was a little early I enjoyed a nice walk. Thank goodness my search is over, I found the epitome of perfection. I love all the point cut, it makes styling for my type of hair such a convenience. Thank You again, see you in a few months.

This guy is a legend and he changed my life! If you want a haircut done by an detail oriented, hair-whispering artist, this is the only place you should consider. His attention to detail is unmatched, and his care for others is like nothing I've ever seen in any salon. His staff are attentive and they are like a family that brings you in, hands you a glass of wine, and makes you feel at home. Your worries will melt away just by sitting in his chair. Not only is he a brilliant artist with hair, but he is a kind and considerate person who you will love to spend that time with. Whether you are in for just a trim, or you're ready to make a new and drastic change to your hair, Greg is the only stylist you should see. I have had long hair my whole life and always wanted to cut it in a pixie cut (I never thought I could because I had thick, curly, frizzy hair). I gave him a picture of what I wanted and he duplicated it to perfection and in detail that I never thought possible. Not only did he make my dream come true, he made it look better than I ever could've imagined! I didn't even know I could respect and love my hair as much as I do now! He even gave me the means to keep it as wonderful as he made it the day I went in the salon by taking the time to explain how easy it was to maintain my hairs natural beauty. Greg seriously changed my life!
