Today I went for a haircut at Great Clips in Porters Neck, Wilmington, NC. Although the girl who cut my hair was friendly, she didn't listen to me when I explained what I wanted. I asked for a 1/2" to 1" trim. My hair was a little longer than the base of my neckline. When I left it was ear length. That is at lest 3 inches she cut off. If you happen to go to this shop, watch every step of your hairdresser as it is being cut and stop them if you are concerned about them being "scissor happy". Don't be afraid to ask how much they are cutting to remind them what you actually told them you wanted in the first place. Also, a good hairdresser doesn't chit chat the whole time. It causes them to lose their focus.
They cut my sons hair and it looks absolutely terrible. It was HORRIBLE. the haircut was not what he asked for AT ALL. He asked for a trim and they basically shaved his hair and left some on the top. Whoever did this should never cut hair again!
Went to great clips in oak village for hair cut with son. Been here many times. Checked in online. Number one to go. Latin man walks in and checks in behind me number three. They serviced him first because he was a Latino. Feel it was done out of racism because my child and I are White. I fully understand how online checkin works and we where verified on the list check'd in with green here symbol. It would of even been ok if the man was the girls regular customer, but it was clear he was not. Right is right and wrong is wrong, wasted 30 minutes out of my life and left with no haircut.
Bro when i tell you i just wanted i little bit off the top of my head and around the sides i walk in with my hair going down to my mouth and i walk out with my hair barely touching my eye brows please don't go to this place its god awful id give it half a star if i could.
I have been bringing my son here for years for a trim. They have always done a really great job. Anyone we have ever had has been very friendly and listened to what we are looking for. I love that they save your information and you can online check in. $15 doe a haircut is unreal. I love this location because there are so many great things to do in this area.
