I went in today and just dealt with a "stylist" who was incredibly rude. She obviously felt bothered by having to cut hair and having customers coming in. This is my third time coming to this location and the people working there have never showed good customer service.
My hair stylist did not care to understand the difference between a "skin fade" and, well, plain old short hair cut. I explicitly asked for the former three times.
Second, the equipment most of these stylist use are not precise. In other words, they are good enough to simply do the job--cut the length of your hair... that is it. Connected to the second point is that it seems that the same tools can be found in a Walmart or Target. These tools are not professional grade. Ergo, when precision of the required style is requested, the tools fail to deliver.
Finally, their model is a very get in and get out model. Stated differently, the time spent with you, the customer, is very short and the quality of work reflects it. From a statistical standpoint, if 3 out of 10 customers would be happy and a 1,000 customers are attended to, then Great Clips is happy to know that they satisfied the 300 customers and rear-ended 700 where it hurts.

Well to be frank I had to get my mom to touch it up because she cut my entire head in a middle part and I part it highly to the left. Big long pieces hanging down when I changed my part
I had my child's haircut here. My child moved a couple times but for the most part sat still. I stood next to her as it was cut. After it was finished, I told the stylist it was uneven but she said she did an undercut and once it was dried, I wouldn't be able to tell. This was the end result. (Some pieces weren't even cut at all.)
