Great Clips in Tulsa, OK

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I want to warn others of the bad service here so they can make  an educated decision on whether to pay for these services.

I paid for a basic trim-up haircut, wanting my hair to be shorter in the back and have a middle part look. I could tell the barber was in a rush and a bit flustered, not even taking time to look at the photos I showed him of my desired style. He took about 0.5 seconds to glance at it, then said, "I got you, bro." He trimmed the back shorter than I wanted, partly my fault for not having him cut it in increments to see what I liked, but if he had looked at the pics I showed him he would have done much differently. No layers were added-- something I specifically mentioned wanting. The result was a flat, unattractive hairstyle that was messed up on the sides. My sideburns were cut so as not to fade into my hair naturally, making it look awkward.

All this to say, if you're a model and need a quick, cheap cut to refresh your look, don't go to a cheap haircut place like I was stupid enough to do. Would recommend only to parents wanting to clean up their kids' looks before school and not caring about the style looking up to date.

I went in for a quick haircut. I have a buzz cut so it should have taken maybe 5 minutes just to fix the back of my head. I waited for around 30 minutes and was skipped over by two people who had walked in. There was a hair stylist who had no shoes on completely barefoot and was walking around the establishment through hair that was on the floor.

The female hair stylists also made inappropriate comments about a woman's 15 year old son and asked other women in the store what their thoughts were about the boy.

I read reviews for the place during my wait and left. I also have strep the very next day which I'm pretty sure was from the dirty lobby I waited in.

Literally how do you run such a bad business.
I'm glad I looked at reviews before I got my hair cut.

The gal who did my hair was very personable. She's not responsible for rates. I paid 50$ for wash and blowout with brushes. I'd rather had some hot iron curls. RIPOFF!
I can go to high end salon, and receive the same service for less. And I will!!

Is there a rating lower than 1?  I sure need it if there is.  I have the kind of hair it's impossible to mess up, but the guy at Great Clips an 17th and Yale did it   I think he cut my hair with dull kitchen scissors.  Whatever you do STAY AWAY from this place.

I've gone here once before and when I came in, all the stylists ran to the back and started whispering. A few minutes later of being left alone, an older woman came out and called me over by name. The other stylists weren't comfortable cutting my hair so they called someone off their lunch break to do it  
I gave this location another shot since my stylist retired recently. I called yesterday to ask if there is anyone on duty who is experienced, comfortable, and skilled at cutting curly mixed hair and she laughed and told me: "All stylists at Great Clips are trained to cut ethnic hair". Sounds like a corporate answer to me. Just because you're "trained" does NOT mean you are comfortable or good at it.

Don't laugh at a genuine question because not all stylists are created equal, Alice.
