BEWARE/WATCH OUT & PLEASE READ if you're serious!! Santa Cruz resident & loyal customer at this location for bang trims and haircuts for almost 2 years but after todays experience I cant say that it will remain the same... I don't usually take the time to drop a review but I FINALLY felt compelled to do so after what I experienced today. I went in for my usual bang trim and the employee, who I was was told is named "ANISSA" (FEMALE WITH GRAY/BLONDE HAIR AND MONROE LIP PIERCING - !!!PLEASE BEWARE!!), had offered to assist me with my basic bang trim. I was hesitant at first because I TRY TO AVOID BEING SERVICED BY ANISSA AFTER TWO separate NOT SO GREAT experiences. With the first time being a haircut, then the second being a bang trim. All the times I got in her chair (today included) has really been because I have tried to give it another shot, give the benefit of the doubt, or quite frankly I didn't have any other choice because I was already in the salon - but boy oh boy will I NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. If I were you and you've taken the time to read this thus far take my word....I would walk right back out if it's just her in the salon! I avoid her because I found that she put me down every time I got in her chair. She tended to be overly critical of my hair, often suggesting that it feels extremely damaged and constantly speculating that I must have hard water at home - its almost like she enjoyed interrogating me about my HARD SHOWER WATER every service!!!! Which as a renter, I should not feel bad about the type of water I have!! I'm blessed to have a shower & my stylist should definitely not make me feel bad about my hair texture, if anything it should be the opposite. MAKES ME WONDER WHAT SHES TELLING OTHER FOLKS WHO HAVE LOTS OF TEXTURE OR BLEACH DAMAGED HAIR!! It's also just a really a bad look for inclusivity. She always would refuse or give a REALLY BAD and NASTY ATTITUDE upon requesting the specific style I wanted...WHICH IS INSANE GIVEN THAT IS THEIR GOAL I PRESUME?!!! I remember on one ocasión specifically asking her to go shorter on my bangs and she said "they are already short" and "it's not going to look right because it's not styled". She also frequently comments on the Olaplex hair products I use, insinuating that they may be causing more harm than good, despite my personal satisfaction with the product and the improved health of my hair. Today was the final straw after she gave me the WORST bang trim of my entire life. This was the first time I ever spoke up about how I wasn't satisfied with a haircut IN MY LIFE because it really just looked THAT TERRIBLE, almost like a joke, super blocky and short. It's almost like it was intentionally done crappy, long strand left in the front - I almost felt like she remembered my last visit of wanting to go shorter and her suggesting not to do so & this was her way of sticking it to me (that might be a reach but it's truly how I felt because she did make a comment "that short" with an eye roll)!! She told me that she could not blend my bangs into my hair and that that's just how my hair was and that if she were to touch it more it would be a haircut charge...even though I was a Regular for bang trims and EVERY OTHER EMPLOYEE COULD MANAGE TO DO IT RIGHT?!!! I was visibly upset and told her it was a mistake sitting in her chair and I would like to leave now that she's done. She seemed taken back that I wasn't happy and proceeded to make another comment saying "well if you would let me finish"....even though she said there was nothing she could do for the bangs. At that point I didn't even want her coming close to me with scissors because her nasty body language and attitude did not seem to line up with an enjoyable experience that I ultimately have to pay for. I offered to pay although I was NOT satisfied AT ALL. I even tipped out of habit which was a BIG mistake because thinking about it she could use that to minimize my entire experience with why would she tip if she wasn't happy. While paying I requested that she give me the name of the lady who had previously cut my bang the exact way I wanted. SHE PROCEED TO DISCLOSE THAT "SHE WAS FIRED" and she said "for good reason"...what kind of response is that??? Not professional at all in my opinion. I believe that constructive feedback is essential for improvement, and I hope that my experience can contribute to enhancing the customer service standards at your salon, this employee needs a refresher on customer service training and a crash course on basic respect habits. Overall, I have always had a positive experience at this Great Clips and ALL the employees there!! There are some really talented people that do such an amazing job!!!so if you do go in there just beware!!! I hope that this feedback can help ensure that every customer feels valued and respected. I take both my kids here, and I go here myself. I won't share who I go to because then y'all will steal her!! My hairdresser is amazing. She takes her time and does a wonderful time with kids, which is a plus and hard to find in this area. I call and make sure she is working. Then, I check in online. Once I arrive, I request her and wait. Very fast service. Price is reasonable and the only reason I'm not giving five stars is because there is one unfriendly woman who works at this location. Other than her, it's great!

This is where I go to get my hair cut. It's pretty average for a low-price haircutting place. A bit better than supercuts and surecuts I think. I generally don't hate the haircuts I get here and they're cheap (22 bucks I think?). Not much else to say except that there's sometimes a line that is multiple people and you'll have to wait as long as half an hour or even more, so remember to always call ahead or use the app to check in before going here.

Took my dad here for a cut. I love that you can see online how long the wait is and put your name on the list. The spot was clean and fine. The parking in the shopping center can be a little challenging at times but this day we had no problem. The lady did a fine job and my dad was happy. The only issue was she was kind of hard to understand my dad said but he is a talker lol I would recommend this place for a quick boy cut
