Great Clips in Kyle, TX

My husband & I are new to Texas & to Kyle Texas from So California. I used to be a hairstylist & I can tell when things look off or the stylist is unsure. I wear my hair very very short like a man's haircut so sometimes stylist are hesitant or unsure. I tell them Hey it's just hair & will grow back so let's do this! lol I usually go to a barber but we tried Great Clips in Kyle. We moved to Kyle in July 2023 & went to the Great Clips in Kyle next to HEB off 1626. I was watching everyone while waiting & asked for Melissa to cut my hair. MELISSA did a FANTASTIC job!!! She asked questions about what I liked & didn't like etc. I've been going to Melissa ever since & it's now March 2024!!! Melissa always does A GREAT job! I've recruited several clients to go to Melissa & they are now regulars of Melissa! My husband goes to whomever is available & ALL the stylist at this location are Great! Here is a before 7/2023 (when it's long for me lol) & after 7/2023 & my husbands after as well. Thank you MELISSA! I appreciate you! I will continue to send you clients! Go & get your hair cut! My son got his haircut here and left crying. The lady was rude to him and very obviously doesn't know how to cut a mullet. Multiple times during the haircut she would look at his hair, make a funny face, and keep cutting. I wasn't even out of the parking lot and was scheduling an appointment at a barber shop. We will never go here again.

Although the check in online is quick and efficient, the service was horrible. From the second I entered Great Clips, I was treated terribly by three hairstylists that work there. While my kid was getting a haircut, one stylist listened to me say "good job" to my daughter and thought I was talking to her then confronted me as if she wanted to fight. Tonight was the craziest experience of my life in a hair salon. For no reason, two hairdressers had the worst attitude and decided to take it out on their customer. Insane. Avoid this place. There are several other places to get your hair cut in Kyle, don't go here and getting treated terribly.

I was lucky to get Jessica. If you come at opening time, there will be a line. Use their app to check in, it works great, but it doesn't come up until they open. Yes, they have a senior cut for people like me! :-)

What a rude introduction! I was asked for my phone number without any explanation on WHY you need my phone number in the first place (I'm new to this location). When asked for my name, I was concerned about info being sent to third parties. Angela was very rude in her approach in explaining why she was doing what she was doing in getting my info. Her approach was off, and she really needs some re-training on acquiring people's info especially when they are not in the system. She acted highly offended when I told her I did not want to share my personal information. I did not appreciate her giving me attitude when she isn't even explaining why she needs my name and phone number. She didn't ask if I have been to the location which is what she should have started the introduction with. I would have given this place a one-star for poor customer service, but Jessica, the person who cut my hair, actually did a great job on the cut AND was more personable on her approach when speaking with me. She also explained why they ask for name and phone number. I've been to a few Great Clips, but they were in the DFW area.
