Negative five stars! I shaved my head three months ago and have been trying to grow it out. I went here for a very simple trim to clean up around my ears and neck and told the woman that cut my hair my goal was to salvage as much length as possible just clean it up a tiny bit. Simply put, I was given the most horrific haircut imaginable by some miserable woman that acted like she didn't even want to be there. She shaved a quarter inch of my hairline away completely and made zero attempt to taper or blend anything at all leaving me with a Frankenstein bowl cut/mullet lovechild disaster. I watched her give the exact haircut I asked for to someone before me which turned out fine, pretty sure she did it to me on purpose. At first I thought it looked crazy from my hat hair so I went home and showered. Nope. She butchered my hair. I would have been better off visiting a local preschool for a haircut. When I called to ask for my money back, she yelled at me and refused to give my money back. Again, SHE SHAVED MY HAIRLINE COMPLETELY BALD!
I just got my haircut by a woman at this E Hampden location in Denver. I went into this place nervous not knowing what to say or how to get my haircut but the lady did a GREAT job. Sorry I didn't get your name but it's the lady that used to do braids. I love my little mullet so much! Thanks again!
I recently got my hair cut at this place again...still keep going back because everyone there does a great job. I got my haircut by Jackie this last time. She did a great job. No complaints.
The guy there, Conrad, also cut my hair once around Christmas 2020. He did a great job too.
Anne is definitely the most thorough...but Jackie and Conrad do fine work as well. I'm glad to continue to visit this Great Clips and actually sort of look forward to going back...which really speaks to how good they are there, because getting a haircut is NOT normally my idea of a good time.
"McDonalds, Taco Bell, Best Buy, etc. all suck, 0-stars (if I could give it)." That's the gist of the usefulness of Yelp reviews because chain businesses are just a dumping ground for most to poop on their chest.
Well, Anne and one other person who is humble and would rather stay out of the public eye, so I will nickname her Jacqueline Kennedy or Jackie O for short.
She, I mean aka Jackie O was the one that cut my hair, and she one up'd the 3 other places in the area because they either have hacks that are only capable of clippers, not scissors (I learned that from Jackie O after I told her how I told dude at the other spot, I DO NOT WANT A BUZZCUT, next thing I know clippers come out, and I got a buzzcut - cost $36), or have super high turnover (here today, gone tomorrow), and a lot higher prices of upwards of $30 (not including tip). That is not the case with Jackie O and GC because many of the people are approaching a decade of experience here, so I will not be returning back to any of the other spots... unless to poop on them.
A 41% is not enough, and a 47% tip should be the bare minimum.

I've been going to Great Clips for many years and gotten consistently average to above average haircuts at a reasonable price. I was needing a haircut and saw their ad offering a "$7.99 Great Haircut Sale". The stylist did a good and timely job. Then when she was done, that will be $17.99. I said the ad said $7.99. She said Great Clips wasn't having a sale right now. I said I was certain the ad said $7.99.
I paid the money, tipped her $3, went back home, found the ad, and took a screen shot of it since it wouldn't print out. I brought it back and showed it to her with a date and time stamp of 20 minutes earlier. I also realized that I didn't get my senior discount, and I had mentioned several times that I was retired. She promptly refunded the $2. No sorry, or apology, or anything... She said she needs a coupon or code#, I again told her it wouldn't print out, and the was no code #. She said she couldn't help me without a coupon or code #, so I asked for the Manager. She said she was the manager, so I asked to talk with her supervisor. I got his # and went back home.
I wondered why, when she saw the actual ad, she didn't just take care of it right then. Didn't she believe her own eyes? Did she think that I somehow made it up?
I talked with her supervisor and explained that I searched Great Clips, found one close, tapped that ad, that's how I found the ad, and I have a screen shot to prove it. He went off about not being able to honor 3rd party coupons, and I stopped him because this was not a 3rd party coupon. I asked him to repeat my steps to find the ad, and do it right now. He instead searched GreatClips.com, and said there was no sale. I said again, I told you how I found it, why don't you check this right now? He said that all Great Clips are independently owned and each one has its own specials. I told him he's not listening. I got this information directly from his shops specific ad. It became apparent that this conversation was going nowhere, so I told him I was going to write a Review About this experience.
Ive had good service at Great Clips, but they really botched this one. Buyer Beware...
