I was a bit fearful to go to great clips .I usually go to a salon and spend $40 for a cut , but just can't afford that now . I used the app , mad an appointment and was told to start on my way . When I got there they were ready and I was taken to the chair for my cut .My cut was done and I really didn't know till I got home what a great cut I had .I love it ! My beautician was Samantha and next time I go she deserves a double tip . Thank you Samantha!!
I called & was told to check-in "online." I guess you can't do anything with a real person anymore. So, I check-n online. Took a screen print of the time and it saying a 36 minute wait. It says they will text me when it gets to 15 minutes so you can head up there. NEVER received the text. Went to eat. Still never received a text. Called up there. They use an internet phone which cut out over and over and you could not understand. I stopped in and there are two very young girls working and I explained and showed the screen shot. I kept getting excuse after excuse, blaming it on the program, not them. Don't they know that IS them is they tell me to use it and it doesn't WORK? The girl kept asking did I come in and let them know I was waiting? I kept explaining their online system told me it would TEXT me 15 mins before so I could leave to come up. And, this appt was for my 85 year old mother. And she was not able to put me in the system, saying there are other people in there waiting. I said but I was BEFORE THEM!!!!
I am leaving a one star review not because of the haircut. The haircut came out decent. Not great. But decent. My review is because of the Covid 19 policy they have enacted even though the CDC has stated otherwise. I think better understanding of policy needs to be addressed. I did online check in and was told 93 mins. Not a problem for me. I had nothing else better to do. I got there and the app told me to let them know I am here and the check in process will be completed. All good so far. Until it came time to get the haircut. I had my son who is 8 with me. They said I would not be able to stay in the building with him during his haircut. Ok. Weird. I mentioned he is only 8 and as being a minor I should be there with him. Ok whatever. Then I inquired where would he have to be when I get my haircut. They told me he would have to leave the establishment. What!??!! Are you kidding me. In a time when children are being abducted. He was to wait outside during my haircut. The lady at the desk said that what if they got us two separate haircut people. I said ok. But what happens when my cut takes longer. The lady who identified herself as the manager. Said he can't stay inside. He would have to leave. I said that's wrong but did not argue with her. I made the choice to get the cuts with the assumption we would finish together. At the end he finished about 5 mins before I was finished. I told my son to just go stand by the door and not to leave. I wasn't worried that he would be asked to leave. Because I wouldn't have let him leave. What would they do. Call the cops. When they are asking a 8 year old to go outside by himself. I absolutely will not come back to this location ever again. The manager and staff are friendly. But they need to better understand the CDC guidelines when it comes to children. The guidelines state that minor children will be allowed in the establishment with the parent. Please read this and understand it. So the next parent doesn't have a problem. My haircut is not the reason for this review. The policy misunderstanding of the manager is the reason for a one star review.
Not happy that an employee here gave themself a tip on my bank card when I filled in zero for tip. My receipt in my hand reflects I used a coupon and paid $10.99. So why does my bank reflect $14.99? Hope you know that's illegal. Tipping in cash should be more than enough!!! Never going to these types of places for haircut again. Lesson learned. Half these people don't even know how to cut someone's hair properly. Layers have been messed up badly. And when I say I have curly hair, and you cut my hair so short that when it dries it's shorter than I asked for... yeah, do I need to say more.
