I'm not one to typically leave reviews since I really don't have the time Nonetheless I came across this hair salon by chance and I was Very happy with their service. Primary Spanish speaking employees. Clean, efficient and very reasonable prices.
Went for a haircut. Two attendants, 2 gentlemen getting haircuts, with a young boy waiting. After about 30 minutes a woman walked in with her 2 young sons. They had an appointment, so I continued to wait. Watched one of the women drop clipper guard - twice- and place the guard on the counter. Not in alcohol or disinfectant. Just a towel on the countertop, with a comb and scissors. I watched her "clean" her clippers with hairbrush. She "disinfected and sanitized" her equipment with "Cool Tool", which is primarily a lubricant for the clipper. While it's true that it can be used as a disinfectant, it should also be used directly on the clippers to be effective. She placed all of her tools - clippers, combs, and scissors in a bunch on the counter and gave them a cursory spray. When she called me to her chair, I asked if she was going to disinfect the chair or tools, and she sprayed the chair with the same spray. Had I been paying closer attention, I would not have waited an hour only to leave without a haircut. I will be submitting a formal complaint to the licensing board.
