The employees are very kind and accommodating. My nails look great but I skipped the pedicure based on the salon itself is very dirty, definitely not up to state cosmetology licensing standards. I noticed that no stations were cleaned in between clients, there were other clients left over nail clippings on the station. I'm in the industry so I'm very aware of things like this. I also didn't see any posted licenses for the techs or the salon itself.

So first let me just say, I'm not a mean person, I don't think being rude or disrespectful is cool. Also I'm an introvert working on how to speak out more when I have an issue on things and this was one of those moments I was trying to speak out. I'm going to try and make this short. I went to Golden Nails with one of my girlfriends at the time to get our nails done for cheap. As I sat down with the women who was going to do my nails, I asked her if there was any way she could do simple look for my nails, using glitter dip acrylic for my ring fingers. She said she could do it and that was that. While shaping my nails, I asked her if she could fix little things, like for example: shaping my index finger a little more. She reacted with a sigh and eye roll. (That was only one of the many rude reactions she had with me) Then after shaping, she started to fill in my nails. When she reached my ring finger, I was surprised to see her using the same regular acrylic. So I asked her, politely, "Um, I thought we were using the dip acrylic glitter for the glitter effect I wanted?.." She ignored what I said. So I just thought okay..well maybe she didn't hear me, maybe she'll use it after the filing and filling. After filling and filling, she pulls out a glitter polish! And I'm like what? So I proceed to ask her one more time, a bit louder this time "um, excuse me? But I thought we were gonna use the dip acrylic" she stops what she was doing, sighs, and steps back a little to tell me( her voice slightly raised) "If I do that, it's going to cost more, are you okay with that!?" And that caught me off guard. I didn't ask how much it was going to cost, I asked her if she could do it the way I wanted and she told me she could. NEVER, did she tell me it was gonna cost more,(which I didn't mind) or that she couldn't do it. Another reason why they have two stars from me, THEY'RE NOT INFORMATIVE. Anyways, back to it. So I tell her "well I didn't ask how much it was gonna cost, I just wanted it done and you said you could do it." She interrupted me while looking annoyed "fine, want me to start all over?" By this time I'm already tired of her, her attitude and I didn't want to start over bc already, so much time was wasted. So we continued but before we could continue, she told me I had to pay her first before she put the polish on my nails. Keep in mind, I had a simple look, just a clear full set of acrylic with just two fingers of glitter polish. And yet she overcharged my friend and I.(my friend was treating me) I know this because my friend had a full acrylic set, with gel on all 10 fingers, (by someone else) yet she was charged less then me???? Anyways she looked as if she was waiting to see my response when she told me the price, not that I cared or reacted much. I simply told her my friend was paying and she sounded surprised, as if she was specifically trying to overcharge me. Anyways I just wanted to say this because I don't think anyone should have to deal with the attitudes like this. If you want your nails to look a certain way and the salon your at can't do it, they need to say something. For me specifically, I'm not gonna leave a bad review if you can't do something or leave. I would've tried to work it out with her if she could've been honest and polite to me like I was to her. Also my nails were okay, maybe a little lumpy, a bit thicker than what I wanted but wearable.
