I do not recommend using this nail salon especially when you have so many options in the area. I have been to Gloss multiple times over the past year (every 2-3 weeks) and the builders gel manicure is never consistent. The lady I have been going to sent me a text message this morning at 1:34am (very unprofessional) to cancel my appt. Due to a sick child. No problem, I get it but the rude lady named Lina did not do a good job. I went in for builders gel and she tried to dip my nails. I said I'm not sure what that is since I've never had that process done to my nails. She kept saying this is what you asked for. Finally the guy next to her said no she is wanting builders gel. I asked for short nails and after the 3rd time she finally got them short enough. I understand that nail techs have different ways of doing things but with only 1 layer of gel, knowing my nails, they will be chipped in 2 days. Nope already chipped by the time I got home. Yes I'm hard on my nails, that's why I ask for my an additional layer of builders gel but to have that kind of rude experience and then to have already have a nail chipped, I look at that as time and money wasted.
With so Many other nail salons in the area that are reasonably priced, there is no need to go to a place where the workers are rude and the manicure is mediocre, at best!!
Then to make it even worse... the owner sent me a text message, yes a text message, another sign of being unprofessional, to tell me I was rude to Lina. I immediately called and wanted to talk and make sense of what happened. She sent me to voicemail and then followed up with another text message.
If you are an owner of a business, you pick up the phone and hear both sides of the story and make it right before accusing someone of being rude when the owner was not even in the area where I was getting my nails done. Highly disappointed with the interaction with the owner and how she handled the situation as well as being treated like I'm a teenager and contacting me through a text message.
The salon is lovely, but do not get dip here. There is only one certified dip nail tech and she is terrible. Aside from her taking phone calls in the middle of my appointment, she filed my nails down so much that I'm having to do some severe nail therapy to regain my nail strength. My dip also barely lasted a full week. It has been over a month and my nails are still breaking.
Really really disappointed with the quality of my dip nails. Within two days one nail cracked. I went in and got it fixed, and the next day it cracked again. I am not doing intense physical labor for work. These dip nails are not worth $50, they barely last three days. Three of my nails are now chipped and cracked. This is honestly surprising because this place was highly recommended to me by several people!
every nail artist i have visited here has been wonderful! the owners are amazing and are very in touch with their employees. you can tell everyone respects each other and are very close there! will be back again and again!
