GLO Manicure Pedicure in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI

I took my daughter her for her first acrylic set 2 days before homecoming. She was told that they could do pink with flames. I don't think the gentleman doing my daughters nails spoke any English. It seemed only one female did. I didn't like that they didn't use a towel or even wrist rest. I requested they use gel instead of acrylic (I'm allergic and I was worried my daughter might be as well). He didn't even acknowledge my request. I also told him her left thumb was to short and the shape didn't match the rest. Again no acknowledgment. He did very LITTLE nail prep at all on her nails. Didn't even do any until AFTER he put tips on. He didn't listen to her color request. Then another lady tried to fix his work with a white French Tip. This was not what my daughter was told they COULD DO! Even the color wasn't to the end of the nail and it wasn't capped on ANY nails. Most of her nails were different shapes. She got in the car after I picked her up and she cried they were so bad!! She was so embarrassed she wouldn't let me go back inside. (Her "techs" had bounced the second I showed up). They didn't even last a week before she was losing nails. After her nails started to come off I noticed she had indents from where the acrylic was. He put acrylic on HER SKIN!! Do NOT use this location. There are at least 2 different nail salons in walking distance. Don't waste your money here! Another review told us that these techs are "independent contractors". I'm curious if all of their technicians have a license. I will be contacting LARA.

The only person here capable of doing anything pleasant looking to your nails is Nina. Everyone else? They do not care what you want, they are going to do what is the absolute easiest for them. The file your nails paper thin instead of removing shellac properly, and look at you like you're crazy if you ask for anything other than a solid color. French manicure, ombré anything, they act like you're asking them to paint a replica of the Mona Lisa. And even then they do a one star job and act like you're a bother for even being there. All of the positive reviews on here are from customers that they have write reviews on the spot in exchange for a discount. No one is going to write a negative review when standing right in front of them. Stop supporting this place please

They, have poor customer service. Just, to inquire about their manicure services. The, lady hung up.. I called back no answer! Called again-Someone picked up playing on the phone!!

I went here for a full set of acrylics. The manicurist was ok, she wasn't the problem. However, as soon as I got home I noticed that the nails were not done very good. They were uneven and bumpy. Some nails went all the way to the cuticle, while others had a ton of space. I paid $55 for this, and while I don't want to be that person, I wouldn't go back. I'm sure that their other services are lovely, however, don't go here for acrylics.

super cleanliness salon and amazing choices of dipp colors to choose from. Nina did my nail she is such a talent nail technician and very sweet lady, I would love to recommended Nina. I will definitely come back to see her soon!
