This is the second salon I have tried in a few months. I give two stars for the friendliness and ease of making an appointment.
However, myself and my mom have both had experiences where 2 beauticians have cut off way more than what we asked.
The girl who cut my hair was so sweet but had no shame saying out loud to me that cutting even hair is a challenge for her. Who says that DURING a haircut? She ended up cutting the back shorter than the front and tried to cover it up by saying "oh, I love these kinds of cuts!" I didn't not ask for a short to long bob. I asked for layers which were not done and asked for shoulder length but was cut to chin length because she kept compensating for the I ever hair she was cutting.
My mom has shorter hair but the top is a little longer- classic mom cut. She has gone in 3 times. Her first experience was wonderful but the 2 after that left her almost in tears. Choppy, unblended and extremely short. The back of her head was shaved like a man's cut when she specifically asked to not be shaved. Her last cut she decided to give the stylist another chance as my mom was worried she wasn't clear with what she wanted , but with even more specifics was given the same cut. She walked right into the house and washed her hair to redo it directly after her cut

Absolutely love this Garbo's location! Its close to my house and of course there is ice cream right next door!
All of the staff and stylists are gems and they will try and accommodate your needs and schedule the best they can. I wouldn't hesitate to choose any of the stylists here they are all great!!
Garbo's newest location. I think it opened in 2020. It's sort of hidden back in the Southport area of La Vista near Costco, behind Cabela's, and next to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. It's a very nice salon inside.
Online appointment booking is a breeze. I was able to get a same day appointment too!
I've had my hair cut by both Kelsey and Madi. They were both very nice and professional and did a great job on my hair. IIRC, my haircut by Kelsey in February 2022 was $39+tip and my haircut by Madi in April 2022 was $31+tip. So, I'm not sure if price varies by stylist of if they've lowered prices.
