Gamma Salon in Pleasanton, CA

Armen is the best! I followed him from a previous location in the Mall. He is very professional and explains what he is doing especially when I may want changes! The salon is very clean, neat and well designed. It does not feel crowded even with other patrons. Yes, he's a bit expensive but I've been satisfied with his suggestions and the outcome for years. And - there is the added bonus of water, tea, wine (sometimes) and especially chocolate!!

I think I have found my dream salon. Tucked away among a row of tiny shops on Main St., Pleasanton is Gamma salon. Came here on a whim because I couldn't take it anymore on this hot June day. Ever had one of those days when you look in the mirror and then had a crazy thought in your head where you whipped out an electric razor and went full Britney? No? It's just me? Well okay then. The bf was getting his hair cut and I thought I'd call and see if they'd squeeze me in the last minute. I fully expected them to say no and I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call back saying that I could go in about half an hour. Ecstatic, I rushed to Pleasanton from San Ramon, and got there and I totally overlooked the parking lot that was located conveniently right behind the salon. As I walked in, I was greeted by Armen, who was courteous, polite and was patient and listened to what I requested. I showed him a photo that I found online that had shoulder length hair with lots of layers. He nodded his head and took me straight to the washing station and my hair was washed in record time. Very thorough and professional. He took me back to his salon chair and he started combing and cutting. He and I had some great conversations about his decades of experience in San Francisco where he worked at a high end salon right next to Union Square. He used to own another salon in another area of Pleasanton and he decided to just focus on opening a new, swanky, boutique in downtown Pleasanton and cater to the local crowd. The whole appointment took a little over an hour and I was thrilled at my new layers! The prices are extremely reasonable and I strongly urge you all to give this place a go! I'm glad that I walked in today and I have found my salon for life. Thank you, Armen! I will be back for a blowout soon!

Had a last minute color refresh with Arman, base and toner! He did a great job finding exactly the color I wanted. He was vey accommodating seeing me immediately as i walked in. I got lucky he had a cancelation. The place is VERY clean, he served tea and dark chocolate!

Armen did an outstanding job on my hair! I asked him for long layers and he knew exactly what I wanted. He knows what he is doing and gave me a very clean, elegant, symmetrical cut. He also did a really nice job of blow drying my hair at the end. If I could give more starts I would!
