Galvanized Nails Inc in Brooklyn, NY

I went here for a gel manicure on the recommendation of a acquaintance who is a regular and long time customer. As soon as I walked in I knew it was a mistake but I was too embarrassed to walk out. (Lesson learned!) The place is not only dimly lit, but cramped, poorly ventilated, dirty and cluttered. Maggie proceeded to soak my nails in warm water (apparently this interferes with the gel adhering properly) and gave a half hearted attempt at trimming my cuticles. She hastily applied the gel polish without significant drying time between coats and failed to use a top coat. Moreover, she only used 1 dryer and asked me to place BOTH hands in 1 dryer. How is one supposed to do that?? When I asked for a 2nd dryer she mumbled something and removed the dryer after perhaps 2 seconds. No final drying, no top coat and barely a drop of moisturizer was applied. This was 8 days ago and every single gel has peeled off in full sheets! The cost was $27. $11 cheaper than where I have gone for several years. Now I see why it was less expensive. Stay away at all costs. I'm just glad I didn't get any infections.

I have been coming here for years and the quality is amazing. I recommend Sunny,Gary ,and Maggie. The price is very good and the nails last. I highly recommend Galvanized nails .

The first thing I noticed when I entered this nail salon was the manager greeting me and getting to know me. I got a real human to human connection, and I felt very welcome. After the conversation, I got a mani pedi, which didn't take too long. Overall, this place has a nice vibe and good service as advertised.

So came here for gel nails for $25. The corners of the gels started coming off on the 3rd day!!! I think their polishes are either too old or the quality is bad. Also the lady that was doing my nails (the last table by the chairs for the pedicure) .. when she finished I noticed dust on one of them. I told her about it, she said she didn't see it at first but if I want her to fix it she has to remove everything and do it again. I can already tell she was very hesitant to fix it. Won't be coming back.

My nails are always great and last long when I get them done here. I highly recommend Gary, Maggie or Tiffany. They do such a good job and thanks to them I always get compliments. It's best to make an appointment since it does get really busy. They have massage chairs when you get a pedicure and they have a lot of color options.
