I've been going here for quite some time getting a scissor cut/trim by a specific stylist. I won't name any names out of respect; however, I am very disappointed in the most recent service I received. My last appointment was quick and rushed which resulted in a horrible trim and I now have split ends that have traveled up my hair shaft. I don't know if the scissors were old, blunt or what have you, but my trim (for a lack of a better term) SUCKED. It "felt good" only for that moment until I had to wash my hair a few days later. I am African American so it's already hard to find stylists who are familiar with black hair to begin with. Even some of my own people don't know what to do! Ironic! In any event, my hair now has to be cut and I am highly upset and will not be going back to this salon. Sucks because I really liked the stylist but I must have gotten her on a day where it wasn't a "good day".
I had to unexpectedly cancel my nail appointment been an avid customer for years and due to being under the 48 hr window I was charged a full $65. I'm very disappointed with this policy and I will not be going back to this salon.
love love LOVED the hair cut i got here :) my stylist knew exactly what i wanted when i couldnt articulate the haircut i was trying to obtain. she also did a wonderful job with the color and i will definitely be going back!! 10/10 would definitely recommend - especially for queer people! the haircuts are not gender specific which made me feel very welcomed and the entrance to the salon is incredible. they have local art everywhere and its such a safe and comfortable place to be in. havent had such a great experience at a salon before :)
I loved my hair the first couple times but I went back and my stylist didn't want to do it and this is what I got. It's lopsided, she didn't do a single thing I requested and charged me $30 she overcharged me. . She was sarcastic and petty, she kept telling me i had the coolest haircut. And she didn't let me see it before I left. I do understand why she bombed my head like this, I would call this butchered She knew what I wanted and just didn't want to do it for me. This is so disappointing, i loved the places now i am going back to Encore That older gentleman will do a better job.
Always an amazing service and great atmosphere! They also sell items from local artists which I love.
