Gadabout SalonSpas - Kolb/Sunrise in Tucson, AZ

Visiting from out of town. Referred to salon for interim hair styling. Arielle was wonderful! Would highly recommend her and this salon.

Fair warning, pricing: Don't really know how to manage the stars here and this is why. Went to an appointment for color with Drea, first visit. Simple bleach blond. I leave some natural color underneath in the back, so she did have to cover up the underparts(took not even 10 minutes) no foils , straight bleach on top, covered and I sat for 30 minutes, normal. Someone else washed, then Drea did the toner. It came out great! I thanked her and went to pay at the counter. Then there was THIS: the girl at the counter said, That'll be $290.00. TWO HUNDRED AND NINETY DOLLARS. The whole appointment was 2.5 hours. My mouth fell, but I handed her my card, and asked...is this NORMAL? The girl had no clue, and mumbled something about. "Blond on blond", whatever that means, it's bleach!!! I still left a tip, much less than I would've normally, as I was happy with it. I've never ever paid even close to this, and I've asked all my friends, AND other stylists, and each one was like, THAT is just wrong. It's unfortunate because she did do a good job, but going back is not an option. If nothing else, this price should've been noted, this is Tucson, not Rodeo Drive.

I don't even live in Tucson anymore but every time I go back I get a haircut from David. He actually knows how to work with hair, instead of giving you the usual cookie-cutter haircut where you're supposed to just style out all of your hair's natural body and shape. As someone who refuses to use a round brush, curling iron, or straightener on my wavy hair, he has made my life so much easier! The salon itself is lovely too. I have never had anything other than a pleasant experience there. I'm currently overdue for a haircut and don't have a trip to Tucson on the books, and searching for a new stylist feels like a real bummer. Do yourself a favor and go book a cut with David.

I always come here for my birthday. For the usual hair cut, balayage and root color. Everyone is super friendly.. from the moment you arrive you feel at home. Daniela is an excellent color specialist. She doesn't BS you and she gives you her honest opinion about what would look good on you. Bonus is her great personality. She did my hair and my daughters hair. We both loved her work. Thank you!

Michael N. Is the absolute best stylist and colorist that Gadabout has. I have been going to Michael for about 18-years as he always does a fantastic job. If you are in need of a haircut or color, please book with Michael as you will not be disappointed .
